  1. Big Mike to Detroit. Twins should bunt every at bat against him. He won't make it past the second inning...

  2. How did Lewis do? Answer below please

  3. Question...I keep seeing people say Lewis can't handle short. What's his limitation? The speed should give him range. Does he lack reflexes? Glove? Arm? If the arm isn't an issue is 3rd base an option? Some details, please
  4. I just hope they have a backup plan...
  5. I was hoping Gordon would have a good day. Woe unto me...

    1. Brock Beauchamp

      Brock Beauchamp

Well, he certainly had a day.

  6. I don't have much confidence in him panning out. The loss of velocity is definately a huge concern. But lefties seem to get longer leashes when it comes to development.
  7. No ads??? Paid... I found this site by accident a few years ago (2018). I thought it was a professional site. No idea that it was run by guys that are just regular twins fans. Keep up the great work gentleman. And ladies.
  8. Gordon at short is quite the surprise
  9. I'd say those are things to watch. I'd want to see Alcala's confidence level. You can see it in his face when he pitches. He's much better when he has it. Keeping an eye on Buxton... Keep him in a damn bubble... I almost forgot Kiriloff's 0-14. I once went 0-14, and I turned out just fi.... Never mind.
  10. As Tom Petty said "the waiting is the hardest part." These last two days have killed me. Do something already!!
  11. Now that I've had a little time to process, the end result of two trades We downgraded at catcher We downgraded at 3rd We still have no SS.... Yeah there better be more moves coming.
  12. Sabato is a surprise, to me at least. Minaya was one of their more reliable relief guys in the second half last year. He's got to have a legitimate shot at making the team. And of course we all want to see how Martin stands with the big guys.
  13. I'd like to see them bring back Big Mike. Granted it's hard watching him fidget and fiddle for a week and a half between pitches, but the end results are usually good. And thanks for another optimistic column. You have to believe in your team!
  14. We get a much needed starting pitcher, grabbed up a prospect that's...4-6 years from contributing? Unless he turns into a hall of famer I'll be happy with this deal. Provided Gray performs.
  15. The "shortened" distance between bases also means the same thing to the defence and throws. They cancel out...
  16. Wow. Here's hoping Rordvelt hits better. I'm good with Jeffers. Who's catching at AAA?
  17. Well... Now that they're going to ban the shift, I suggest they draw out little chalk circles where each player is allowed to lineup. But why stop there? Extend the lines to show where each player is allowed to chase the ball. Like table hockey. Hey just because your cf has great range it doesn't mean he should be able to catch balls that your slow right fielder can't get to right? Why should you allow the pitcher to cover first base just because the first baseman got pulled off the bag? Less chance of him getting injured that way too. Oh yeah, that bigger base. I'm sure that's going to help...
  18. No to banning the shift. Let the hitters learn - take your chances. Nobody complains about outfielders moving, let the fielders line up where they want. Play ball!!
  19. And a quick Google search in 2016 brought a Twins fan in Buffalo to your site. It's been my go-to for my Twins fix every since
  20. One of my favorite players as a kid. Wait, all the Twins were my favorite players as a kid...
  21. What happened that made Gordon no longer a SS candidate? Is his range that bad? Not enough arm? Or are we just drafting ss with the idea that if a kid has the ability to play short, he can easily transition into other positions?
