  1. Why does Molitor keep using Pressly in these 1 run situations after he's shown that he absolutely cannot be trusted at all currently? Good lord. Let him throw some mop up innings to try to get some confidence back or something. Or just rest him because this was his 33rd appearance already this season.
  2. He plays a very consistent game. The problem is that its consistently bad.
  3. Absolutely should've been an error. Standing in place, ball went between his head and his glove. I feel bad for pitchers when stuff like that gets ruled a hit, but I'll take it either way. This strike zone is hot garbage so far today too.
  4. I figured there was a chance that anyone watching this game was drunk and/or stupid.
  5. I guess that would explain why it looks like he's never been back there.
  6. Honest question: was Garver this awful on defense in the minors? I mean, I wasn't expecting him to be spectacular, but good lord, he is terrible.
  7. No apologies necessary, it's Glynn that should be apologizing for ruining that inning.
  8. There was 1 out and Adrianza made 2.
  9. That was idiotic. There is only one out and even if he doesn't stumble he would've been out at the plate. Why send him?
  10. Lomo apparently was like 1cm away from actually touching the bag at first, threw home and i'm pretty sure the runner was actually safe but called out, and then the ball was thrown back to first for the force play that wasn't called initially. Or thats my understanding of what i just watched.
  11. The issue here is that even if the offense turns it around, our defense and pitching are still a dumpster fire and you can't make a playoff push without real good pitching. I think the sad truth of the matter is we're either looking at continuing our stretch of being a bad team or we're likely going to need to do a full rebuild. If Buxton and Sano aren't going to be the pillars of our team that we build around, then we're going to need to trade them. And probably anyone not named Berrios who is worth anything at the trade deadline or in the offseason. You can't build a championship team around guys who can't stay healthy and can't consistently produce. And as much as it pains me, Sano and Buxton haven't done either. Its been quite clear that we lack the ability to develop any significant amount of quality pitching, we're not going to be signing Clayton Kershaw in the offseason, and signing middling FAs isn't working. So, I don't really see any way we're going to be getting those good pitchers necessary for a playoff push without selling big time. Also, Molitor needs to be gone and should've been gone long ago.
  12. I think its more like "consumed" than bit.
  13. Winning manager of the year probably helped stretch that out and give him even more leash too. Watching national broadcasts and hearing them talk about how great a manager he is makes my head hurt.
  14. Yeah, it wasn't meant to put the fault on him specifically for this game. I'd still like to see him gone though.
  15. I wonder how long Molitor's leash is? Granted, pretty much the whole team is playing like trash, but still, he is not a good manager.
  16. First one Sano fell a bit and then made a short hop throw which got past Morrison. Ruled an error on Sano, I think. Second one, they were playing too deep to have a play at first and there was no throw.
  17. He just banned the people who booed and continued being sub-par.
  18. I'd have slightly more sympathy for Morrison if he hadn't started off the season complaining about having to play in stadiums without roofs too. As it stands, he isn't performing and he's bitching about some inclement weather while making million to not perform.
  19. How is your arm? You think you could plunk him with a hot dog?
  20. At this point, I would genuinely rather have some of our pitchers hitting than Morrison. Dude has an OPS+ of 10. I'm pretty sure at least one of our pitchers could just square up to bunt for 60 at bats and be significantly more productive than Morrison.
  21. Why the **** is Morrison still getting regular at bats?
  22. C'mon now. Regardless of what you believe happened, the fact is none of us have anything more than a he said, she said situation and we don't have the slightest clue whats going through Sano's mind in relation to all of this. Its disingenuous to pretend that either Sano or the MLB isn't taking it seriously when you have no basis for that claim.
