  1. I can think of quite a few games since July 26th where having an extra bench bat would've been nice.
  2. I believe thats the medical way to say, "we don't have a ****ing clue"
  3. Don't worry, the new intentional walk rule will speed up the game.
  4. Well, we might get the displeasure of seeing our whole bullpen tonight.
  5. Yep. Looked like he knew immediately something wasn't right. Please don't need TJ surgery, our pitching depth is too damn thin already.
  6. Oh hell. That sort of exit from a game is never good. He was walking fine on his own so I'm guessing tore or strained something in his arm.
  7. The exact same thing happened last game Mejia pitched, with both him and Mauer going for a bunt and no one covering.
  8. That was a super weird sound by Smalley there. If I said what it sounded like, I think I might catch a ban though.
  9. Not the Twins, but the Padres had one last season: https://youtu.be/KLwtPDdOTwg?t=36
  10. Nearest was deep short, but even still. He could've led off halfway to home and been back to third before the shortstop could've got over there.
  11. Ha, was about to say Rosario should steal home. Then he fakes it and pitcher balks.
  12. Bobbled play at short by Polanco, failure at picking up a ball in the outfield by Buxton and a throw from the edge of the outfield by Dozier that went 15 feet to the right of home plate.
  13. No one ever said logic and reasoning were required for Papelbon to want to pick a fight, as evidenced by him attempting to choke out Harper in their dugout.
  14. Papelbon will fight you over that claim. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CxcxO9GJfkU/VBY6uw0cZhI/AAAAAAAAXto/y73aRtENvYA/s1600/MMBSPORTSNEWS%2Bcopy.jpg
  15. Good lord, are they even trying? That throw from Dozier was 15 feet away from home plate, from the edge of the outfield grass.
  16. Polanco error. Hit to center scoring a run. Buxton error on the play allowing a second run to score.
  17. Our defense has been embarrassing as hell this last week.
  18. Dick just said that Dozier left due to illness and is day to day. edit: I'm too slow apparently.
  19. The same way the ball that went in and out of his glove the other day was also a double* *the scorekeeper is drunk as hell
  20. "He does a pretty good job of getting his glove close to it." Great insight, Roy.
  21. Wait, so Texas challenged the run and we didn't challenge the play at 2nd? And now Dozier is pulled for what?
  22. I gotta say I approve of clearing house before the season ends as opposed to doing it all after (if that is the direction they go in). Gives the FO plenty of time to find their candidates, fill the positions, and have people in place and up to speed prior to winter meetings and any other offseason moves.
  23. I think bunting for singles is the closest we can get. With his speed, it wouldn't be very hard if he was a good bunter.
