  1. I would like to see Gibson & Grossman traded in a package together with some of these fringe guys, while paying G&G salaries. Releasing Hughes also make sense. Or including his salary in a trade somehow, though not likely. Edit: Make these moves to free up 40 man spots for the youngsters.
  2. In the SSS of this season it would have been a horrible trade. Lots of time left to see if DeLeon turns out yet. Maybe Dozier will get hurt next year, knock on wood, and we’ll wish the Twins would’ve gotten something out of him while they could.
  3. As far as the DH rule. I've always thought it would be fun to have home team choose DH or not. Makes the rule same for every team and brings in a bit of strategy as well.
  4. Hopefully Cleveland won't be as hot two weeks from now. Kipnis and Miller, possibly Brantley, will be back by then tough.
  5. He's 200/282/436 with 22 hrs. Playing mostly first base 69/95 games.
  6. Possible not probable. Having cornerstones that are barely league average is not how teams win championships.
  7. A Dozier trade isn't only about what's gotten in return. He, Mauer, Perkins, and Hughes are the last of the old guard losing Twins. Imho getting rid of them will be the final stage of the rebuild and the first to competing.
  8. At least I got to watch a game thanks to FS1. Even if the offense couldn't back a gem by Berrios. Castro needs to take the bat off his shoulder. Especially with the pitcher, who's having a great game, up next and Buxton in scoring position.
  9. I know Gray isn't Sale but I expected the A's to get a better return #77 and a couple high upside guys. Looks like Beane wasn't kidding about wanting MLB ready outfielders (reports say Mateo likely to move).
  10. DBacks picked up Hernandez from Angels. Market for Kintzler is shrinking.
  11. I'd be happy if Gimenez was a dfa. I don't see value.
  12. I would be interested to see this in a new thread on other baseball if you are so inclined.
  13. Maybe this will stop Twins from rifling through the recycling bin this offseason and during next season.
  14. If this is true Falvine just got a lifetime deal from me.
  15. The concussions he's gone through can't be helping either.
  16. That's true. I was only speaking of extensions without regards to roster construction.
  17. It would be similar to giving Dozier an extension after last season. Which few have called for but most have balked at.
  18. I'm fine with that. Let him chase a ring and let Twins give a young man a shot.
  19. Belisle has actually been lights out this month, no runs in 10 appearances and 11.2 innings. Could definitely see a team giving him a chance. Might have to wait until August waiver period.
  20. Just that all but Murphy and Werth were better suited to DH. Biggio yes. But I don't count Harper.
  21. I'll give you Werth but would squabble over the others.
  22. All this talk of Garver playing in the outfield doesn't make sense to me. This team needs a catcher that can hit. I can't recall a catcher moving to the outfield with success.
  23. The addition of Recker really muddies the 40 man waters. Any insights? I can't see Twins keeping 5 catchers too long.
