    I’m really interested to see how the pitching staff will be handled this year. With no veteran workhorse innings eater type and a number of guys pushing up from AAA. Free agent signings could be a big clue. If they go heavy on the bullpen I wouldn’t be surprised to see an opener, or maybe something even newer, going on this year.

    I like your style! But let’s sign Adam Jones instead of Nelson Cruz. Moving Marwin to 3rd and Sano to DH.

    Maybe $30 mil is too much but it’s not for Stewart and Little it’s for getting rid of the other $60 left on the books.

    A lot of options out there in the infield free agent list this year, and enough depth to get some nice deals I think. Jose Iglesias, DJ Lemaheu, Mike Moustakas, Marwin Gonzales, Daniel Murphy could all be had on affordable deals. Curveball, Eddie Rosario played a lot of 2nd in the minors.

    Kohl Stewart and Zach Littel for Greinke and 10 mil per year. Going forward you can expect #4 production from Greinke I think and that’s worth ~ 10-15 on the open market. So I expect more of a salary dump type trade. I’m not willing to give up any of Gonzo, Jay, Thorpe group for that contract.

    It’s starting to look more and more like by the time Buxton and or Sano figure things out, if at all, they’ll be out the door towards free agency. If this team was gonna have a sustained run those two needed to be cornerstone types already. Here’s to the next rebuild.

    The only players the Twins have that are under team control that I believe can be cornerstones are Berrios and Rosario. Anyone who’s not signed for next year should be happy being traded to a contender. I’m not overly concerned with what comes in return, the players traded away hold no value for Twins for the remainder of this season.

    I’m all for bullpenning or some type of hybrid. Maybe it will help the Twins utilize all those relievers they drafted hoping to turn into starters.

    Trade EE. I fail to see the drawbacks of adding prospect depth by shipping out an expiring contract at peak value. The “losers” of the Machado deal need a fall back option. The cupboard isn’t barren in the infield, Adrianza, Polanco, Gordon, and Sano will all be here going forward. It’s not like we can’t find a replacement in the offseason, possibly EE himself.

    Celebrating your own accomplishments doesn’t always come with intentions of belittling your opponents. But whether you intended to or not it is belittling, and most people don’t like it. I’m all for the bunt.

    I’m not too worried. It’s the last year of his deal so if he comes back and is horrible they will just 60day DL and go with hopefully not Hughes.

    A bunt is almost always exciting to watch. Fast runners, wild throws, barehanded grabs, double play?, the wheel.

    No slow start for Dozier this year. The bunt is a non factor for me. Pitchers and catchers play defense too.

    The QO next year will likely be more than the AAV of Dozier’s next contract. If he really is confident in himself he’ll take the QO and get his bigger check the next year.

    I’ve been looking around for an ace to acquire at the trade deadline this year, and I’m not seeing any. The best chance I see is the Mets going full Marlins mode.

    I’ll take the upside possibilities of Lamarre and his new swing. The only thing the Twins have to lose is Grossy, and I’m not very concerned about that. Edit: If he’s willing to start the year in Rochester than he will. Roster flexibility
