    Belisle has actually been lights out this month, no runs in 10 appearances and 11.2 innings. Could definitely see a team giving him a chance. Might have to wait until August waiver period.

    Just that all but Murphy and Werth were better suited to DH. Biggio yes. But I don't count Harper.

    All this talk of Garver playing in the outfield doesn't make sense to me. This team needs a catcher that can hit. I can't recall a catcher moving to the outfield with success.

    Maybe Molitor could sit Dozier a few days and see if Polanco feels more comfortable at 2nd. Improve the infield defense with Adrianza. Show Jorge they're willing to work with him and Brian's spot isn't untouchable.

    Braves are paying 100k to cover remaining salary of Recker. Twins are paying remainder of Garcia's cash~4m.

    For one of Bundy, Gausman or both? Gausman is having a "very rough" year and can't have much value.

    Bundy would be an interesting buy low candidate. Nova is my dream acquisition.

    Defensive metrics don't hold much value imho, he passes the eye test. Way too athletic to be compared with Hammer. Some mental gaphes on throws. He's been one of the top bats on a playoff caliber team. The idea that the other outfielders are twice as valuable is laughable to me.

    The only reason I wouldn't drop Gimenez is for injury depth. Him being "able" to pitch isn't worth anything other than laughs. Let Garver come up and start the learning curve. Plenty of at bats to go around.

    I like the idea, you could even throw in a 3rd Justin. Verlander might not be willing to come here though.

    I was under the impression that the catcher was to provide the outside lane of the plate.

    This is my problem with being a Twins fan. Other teams in comparable markets "go for it" when they have a chance. I'm not saying this is the year to do so. It's just disappointing to see Brewers, Royals, Indians, etc making big moves when they're in contention but we trade for Capps.

    No reason to act now. His 40 man spot would be nice to have come this offseason.
