    I would rather shop Polanco around. He loses value because of his play this year and he's out of options. Maybe he could bring back one of Miami's relief pitchers. They're in need of acost contolled shortstop.

    Twins don't need another doubleheader on the schedule. Would be nice if they can play this game.

    I agree that Pitt should have a fire sale. The price for Cole is too high for me. Nova could be had for less and is owed 9 something per year through 19. McCutchen is starting to come around and I don't see anyone ponying up for him. He would look nice hitting lead off or in the 5 hole for us. Could be a rental if we don't want his 13m option.

    IMHO doing #1 goes a long ways towards fixing 2 and 3. Picking up a non rental starter who can slot into the top half of a rotation would be a big move. My vote goes to the Pirates Ivan Nova.

    Why has the value of pick 1/1 dropped over a million from last year? I feel as though Twins are getting screwed on their bonus pools.

    We can only hope. Give his spot to some AAAA or an actual prospect. They can't do any worse

    The Dozier situation hasn't changed since the end of last season. It's just wait and see mode.

    Ervin is our version of James shields when the royals were on their way up. They didn't win a championship with him but were able to get out of the cellar.

    Does anyone know if Duffey wants to start? He was a reliever in college. Maybe he's just more confident/comfortable in the pen. If he wants to start I'm all for it. But don't screw up a good thing by forcing him into the rotation.

    I agreee. Andrus is already a proven player. He and Span are both plus up the middle defenders and are comparable at the plate. Both teams have new guys coming up, Revere and Profar. We have had a whole at SS FOREVER and their CF is gonna leave through free agency.
