  1. I think the whole leadership thing is overblown. I would rather have Astudillo getting innings behind the plate yet Gimenez is playing frequently.
  2. Very strange. We need Gimenez like we need a hole in the head. I generally like Molly but this veteran security blanket thing is silly.
  3. I think the characterization that they inherited a mess is inaccurate. The farm system was highly ranked and had quickly supplied Buxton Sano Kepler Polanco and Berrios. There are plausible excuses to give the new FO but this isn’t one of them
  4. I like their drafts. Other than that I don’t see anything transformational. They given away substantial talent with their bizarre 40 man roster management
  5. I would rather have Rosario, Chargois and Rodriguez. So far I think managing the margins of the roster has basically been a negative grade for the FO
  6. Great info - thanks for contributing. Even healthy I have no interest in bringing Morrison back
  7. Has anyone seen reports on his fielding? Some were saying he wouldn’t stick at SS. That would obviously play into this
  8. The other option is to take one more year of arbitration then if he continues like extend him the QO and maybe get another year or draft pick
  9. With his bat which we still will enjoy at 2nd base. His arm is just not good enough to provide above average defense at the most critical spot on the diamond. He can be a plus fielder at 2nd and then we can go get a plus fielder at SS
  10. Polanco is not a starting SS on a winning team but is their best 2nd base option. I would slide him over and figure out a solution for SS
  11. Royce Lewis doesn’t even get a mention. We must be flush with hitters!
  12. In the “prospect community” you could find people that would give Mother Theresa a 35 for makeup. The guy has been good at every level eventually I’m excited to see what happens if he uses his change up more
  13. It was a sloppy game by the Twins in a number of different ways. To blame it on the manager isn’t accurate. Lynn has to be better than what he has shown so far
  14. He’s ok. I think his throwing and blocking ability are sub par. Who knows how heavily to weight his framing skills. He does deserve credit for the number of innings caught
  15. Falvine haven’t proven a thing in the area of pitching. Their two obvious attempts last year were Haley and Breslow. Both were flops and they compounded their error by hanging on to both far too long
  16. Or to use old stats Darvish could go 18-8 and whoever would get rolled out as a fifth starter would likely go something like 7-12. In other words the Twins win 11 more games
  17. Why does everyone assume Sano will be suspended? He’s not been charged with a crime and there is no evidence to prove his guilt. If we add it has to be a right handed outfielder who plays above average defense. GoGo might be worth it
  18. I've had the same problem ever since radishes said Josh Willingham was a better fielder than Torii Hunter.
  19. Agreed. He will be their best reliever by far. Let's go to highest and best use.
  20. This. Like most people I am enamored with his power. But, he strikes out a ridiculous amount, is walking less and doesn't have a position. Sounds like Chris Carter who got a nothing contract. Now you throw in makeup issues and that he can't stay healthy. The bust potential has grown substantially in my book.
  21. Sano punishment will be little or nothing. There is no proof and the allegation is far less than what Chapman admitted to. And before you come at me with pitchforks I am not condoning that behavior. Just stating the reality of the situation.
  22. He has the tools to be a good corner outfielder-sufficient speed and a strong arm. This is all part of the development process so I think it is premature to judge him as a fielder.
  23. Their results were due to improvement of a young core that the previous regime put together. Other than possibly Rowson they have done nothing and have screwed up a couple situations.
