  1. ****, now I gotta find a thousand bucks...
  2. Now if Farmer gets his third hti of the day I will buy a thousand bucks in lotto tickets.
  3. Santana beating out that throw is magic.
  4. Could use an insurance run or two here Royce... 5 hit day for Correa, not bad at all.
  5. Jay Jackson fixed his slider, but with a sample size of like 2 innings. I'd like to see him repeat it more before coming back up, so I'm holding my breath. I do hope he's got it back, though.
  6. I agree that Louie is terrible when facing hitters for the third time. He doesn't have any overwhelming stuff, and it's also been proven at AAA. I'm not saying that he, or others, should be automatically pulled after two times through, though. Having said that, if there's a team that I'd want him to try to work through that against, it's the Rockies outside of Denver. Especially with their injuries. I think last night would have been a perfect time to see if he could go another inning. But also, the offense did absolutely nothing by the time Rocco had to make that decision. He didn't necessarily have the luxury of risking Louie keep going through the batting order. In terms of Thielbar, I don't think it's DFA time, yet. He's had a couple of bad outings amidst more good ones. I'm more concerned about Jay coming back up despite not really showing he's fixed things in St. Paul.
  7. Also, for Louie's sake (and most of our pitchers) I'm just glad we're playing in Minnesota and not Colorado. I fear those balls would be flying out of the park even more often than they do (which feels like it's been above average for our SPs).
  8. When Heller hit Willi Castro for the second time and fourth time in 2 days I felt his rage as he threw his helmet into the ground. That was getting ridiculous. Though I ultimately agree that a rule for ejecting pitchers after a number of HBPs would inadvertently affect the game too much.
  9. Yea, it really is an interesting comparison, because you're spot on. It's hard for me to understand how frustrating it must be for you guys in MN trying to watch the Twins because I've had to subscribe to MLBTV for years in order to watch games from down here in Albuquerque. Glen Taylor (for as long as he remains owner) is supposedly willing to keep paying exorbitant Wolves payroll now that we're actually good, but the Pohlads balk at doing such a thing for the Twins. We have our feelings on the TV money being a cheap cop-out, but regardless it's such a detrimental effect to Twins fans.
  10. Not to get too off-topic here, but to the extent that it can, yes. The bigger problem is that when payroll is that high in the NBA the luxury tax penalties get pretty steep, especially in terms of improving the team (limits on signing free agents, losing draft picks).
  11. You're thinking prior to the Gobert trade. The Wolves actually had a huge payroll which is skyrocketing this year.
  12. If the price tag wasn't so hefty I'd happily buy a jersey. but I'm generally the same - got a couple Twins t-shirts I rotate around.
  13. These are the best city connect jerseys this year, by far. I really like them. It's not easy to put ripples on fabric, and I think they did it in a really cool way, not to mention the state outline on the cap with the aurora. Very cool. Also love that they had Slug do the intro track.
  14. Always my thought, too! After grabbing Jenkins and Soto last year I imagine Falvey will go for a college hitter first this year, probably favoring power over contact as usual in the first round.
  15. A couple users have pointed out that we might be buyers if injuries derail us, but I really don't think that's a possibility. Just like I don't think we'll be buyers outside of a medium leverage bullpen arm...MAYBE. This front office hasn't shown that they'll make an outside move based on injuries, I mean, for goodness sake, they brought up Celestino when Buck went down and we had no better options.
  16. Dude, Luis Gil was a lottery ticket for the Yankees. That's what Johan Duran was for us, too... I'm more beat up about Code Povich than Luis Gil. With Povich it was more obvious what he was.
  17. I enjoy doing this, too and even do it while I'm at AAA games here in Albuquerque lol. Too bad the IL never comes down to play the PCL 😓.
  18. Santana has really come back to life. His approach looks so much better than April.
  19. On a positive note, I'm getting pretty psyched about our city connect jerseys...
  20. Just tuning in now, what's been up with Pablo and the walks??
  21. Of Ted's proposed trades I would also do Lee and Gonzalez for Luzardo. I'd hold on to Raya until we know our pitching pipeline is yielding more MLB level starters.
