  1. We are huge BUXTON fans, but he needs to stop trying to lift the ball at the plate. He needs to hit the ball where it's pitched. Some singles and doubles would help. Defensively - right! There is none better.
  2. He already is! He's a bust. Twins need to cut their losses.
  3. "Twins LETTING Cleveland win all these games may backfire????" FALVINE in their infinite wisdom need to get their noses out of their computers and open their eyes - AND Rocco needs to do the same!!! WE NEED A BULLPEN. I'm sure the players are more than a little discouraged when they are in or near the last inning and the Bullpen blows the lead. Pagán and Thornburg are DONE. WHY are the Twins picking up pitchers NOBODY else wants? Bring some KIDS from St. Paul onto the relief staff. Cut your losses. The Twins relievers have been TRAINED to pitch only one inning. Neither Jax nor Thielbar could've pitched because they EACH pitched ONE inning the day before? That's ridiculous. And when Duffey comes in and strikes out 4 of 5 hitters he faces, WHY take him out for the 9th?? It's tough being a Twins fan. No amount of offense is enough! The Twins' hitting is more than enough to win these games. The BULLPEN gave up the lead at the end of ALL FIVE CLEVELAND games! I wonder if Jim Pohlad even WATCHES what's going on from his new penthouse atop The Gateway! #BullpenBlues
  4. The LAST addition we need is Nelson Cruz. WE NEED A BULLPEN. I love Nelson Cruz, but hitting is not our problem. Get a grip!
  5. Best comment in this thread. The Twins' losses are due to poor pitching and defense. Pitching and defense wins and loses games. Period. Until the Twins step up their defense and bullpen, they can score 10 runs, and it STILL won't be enough. Miranda is not ready to be in the field. Urshela is! Miranda is a disaster at 1B. And Kirilloff was signed as an outfielder and has played almost no 1B. Look it up! When Polanco comes off the IL, Arraez should go back to 1B and leave him there. Night after night - the Twins have too many rookies (minor leaguers) in their lineup.
  6. See my original comment. Kirilloff (who IS a good hitter) was signed as an outfielder and has played very few games at 1B. Truly, he is not a good defender at 1B, but Miranda isn't either. He's clearly not "ready." But then, the Twins have demonstrated that defense is not important to them.
  7. I'm sorry - I wrote that wrong! Kirilloff was signed as an outfielder in 2016. He played 35 games at 1st in minor league baseball. Last year, he played 43 games at 1st (between St. Paul and the Twins.
  8. Exactly! Don't blame Alex for not getting to Ramirez "hit" at first base! He was signed, in 2016, as an outfielder. He played 49 games at first base in his ENTIRE minor league experience (which began right out of high school) and the rest of his games have been in the outfield. He is an outfielder! Rocco puts players in the game out of position and expects them to play like they know the position. He does it all the time.
  9. Miranda is a huge liability in the field. WHEN will the Twins learn that pitching and defense wins games. Way too many errors - and he's not the only one...
  10. At some point, Miranda should have become a better defender. He almost always makes at least one error at first or at third.
  11. Honestly - until Miranda learns how to play D, he shouldn't be playing on Target Field. He is NOT READY!! One of the Twins biggest problems is bowing down at the altar of Offense. Pitching and Defense wins and loses games... We've seen it over and over again - like recently in the Twins' 2022 season, where we wouldn't have been anywhere near 1st place without our pitchers! And - how come nobody ever talks about what a disaster the Aaron Hicks trade was! He lets us know it every time he's in Minnesota!
  12. 3 things: 1- The Braves made a huge mistake giving up Freeman. He was the face of the Braves. 2- Correa most assuredly has a no-trade clause in his contract. He's no dummy. 3- This whole discussion confirms why fans are not in charge of baseball teams.
  13. It is beyond me why Rocco keeps Miranda and sends Royce Lewis down. Rocco is supposed to be a "numbers" guy. Which numbers is he seeing? #roycerolls
  14. Thank you for your highly detailed article "Let's Cut Miguel Sanó Some Slack."  I was so happy to read your comments and specifics about the start to his 2022 season.  I would never give up on him, and you, obviously, haven't given up on him, either.  He has been a "VERY UNLUCKY DOMINICAN."

  15. The Twins don't need Pitching PROSPECTS. They need PITCHERS. I'm so tired of talking about prospects while the Twins have let available PITCHERS go to other teams because they spend their wad on the likes of Donaldson. Really? Talk to us when the Twins get some PITCHERS. How many MORE seasons will this glaring problem exist before they figure it out? #insanity
  16. I think he's a "last-resort," because he's slow and he doesn't hit. He's a great fielder, but that's ALL he is. Polanco needs to stay at 2nd base. There are SS out there - the Twins just don't want to pay for one. Isiah Kiner-Falefa SHOULD be available. We should go get him. The Rangers don't need him, anymore. The Twins inaction has clearly indicated they aren't motivated to improve their rotation. Sad. We ALL know that the win/loss record really does come down to pitching and defense. We're not gonna be a factor until we get some pitching, and it doesn't much matter what else we do.
  17. The media and MLB want to make this about the 50 players making an exorbitant amount of money. There are 30 teams with 40-man rosters. We can pick nits with that number, but 1200 is a big number! Only the few big-market owners can pay those 50 in an attempt to fill the seats and "buy" championships. MLB is putting a put a few multi-millionaires on the fields, but for years, younger and younger players are being brought up, not ready for the bigs (not trained in the minors) and the owners pay them less over time. There's an incredible amount of greed in today's game - and in the end, it's the FANS who bear the brunt at the ticket office.
  18. The message I'm getting is that the Twins are not "players." 1) The Twins aren't offering enough money, and 2) Nobody wants to come here. It's Thanksgiving, and the Twins have done nothing. NOBODY else is doing NOTHING. Sad.
  19. Just read your reaction to a man whose been banned by every other source. Not sure why you'd feature him, here.
  20. Make no mistake about it - The Pohlads are every bit as cheap as Calvin Griffith was. Falvine / Pohlad have made more poor decisions than I care to pontificate on, here, but suffice it to say if Buxton is gone, so am I.
  21. Falvine doesn't understand Minnesota. Minnesota fans care a lot about their players. The success of this season, for Minnesota fans, was Eddie's ring (they told Eddie to "go away") and José's season. They care a lot about them! Twins fans will choose among their thousands of lakes if their baseball team isn't worth watching. We follow our favorite players whether or not they're in Twins uniforms. Finally, I don't agree that Donaldson was worth it. He doesn't "fit." And, if Falvine were "a fit", they would have known that.
  22. Buck WANTS to remain a Twin. Frankly, I'm not sure why! I could write a book, but won't. Suffice it to say - if the Twins lose Buck, they lose me. I'll watch the players I like wherever they play. #EddieEddie
