    The analytic numbers are wonderful for math geeks, but a current batting average says who is and who is not hitting the ball for a hit. Now this year Simmons BA is lousy, that is not deniable.

    Good thing they took Gant out, the BP is shining like a dim bulb. Just maybe desperation will wake up the Twins bats.?

    Kepler's batting average is lower, and Simmons can field a ball better than Kepler with one eye and a gimp leg.?

    Reusse has view on sports, all sports, and it does not change, and I generally do not like his take. At that he has forgotten more about Baseball than any one here will ever know.

    Berrios was/is not really all that good; his blow-outs are not as bad as some the Twins had but they happen/ed. The Twins need , at least one pitcher, better than Berrios, that the pitching staff cannot ruin. (I believe the pitching coach is a goodly part of the pitching snafu.)

    I would split my bet the Front Office is going to strongly annoy many here when the -- lets see what we got -- crew rolls into spring training. ?

    The Spring games in Florida will say whether or not they should stay in the minors or try the majors, simple as that; as is, if they are dominating the minors , let them have their time of glory, may be all they ever have.

    If all these wunder kindt pitchers you are assuming are good , turn out to be no better than Rooker or Larnach in performance, next year will be worse than this year. I am hoping Kirilloff is good as his short start, but after the wunder kindt of the past decade running like a hit-miss engine I would no, be spouting -- OH bring up this guy, that guy and the other guy because there is nothing to show what the return will be.
