  1. That is what the Twins need in a catcher and Garver and Jeffers do not have that.
  2. Alcala seems to in the groove today.
  3. With him at SS this year, it would have been losses. In 2019 we had Schoop, C.J. Cron whose errors combined this year equals 16.
  4. At 86 points verses 24 the analogy does not work.
  5. Polanco is lousy as a short stop, so I assume Arraez is at 2nd; that is Arraez only decent poiition fielding but that still means poor defense at SS.
  6. Put Gordon there and see how he does, even if he is lousy, his on base speed can help.
  7. Larnach and Rooker have shown they still belong in AAA, maybe for career. Twins will not let Simmons go as they need defense BADLY, ditto for Donaldson. Utility, hmm, Gordon seems to be improving, Astudillo must stay -- Arraez's numbers at second are actually good but Polanco is not going any where so.... Kirilloff, I hope he is as good as his first go around showed; or they can put Sano on Marie Osmond's diet.; I would bet Cruz is back for DH, they need offense their badly; at catcher they need Rortvedt defense and Garver offense when he is on a hot streak -- Jeffers offers neither. (Astudillo must be kept as a back-up catcher as his numbers there are better than Jeffers) Pitching is a slough that Twins management does not seem to have clue how to handle. Spring Training will tell a lot , just as it did when it showed Rooker was not ready for the Majors this years.
  8. They need a quality Left Fielder, period. Larnach is slow, has a weak arm and is on the Baseball Reference leader board for errors in left field. Simmons is among the top BR leader board for SS players and the Twins cannot afford any one above him.
  9. As one who is NOT a fan of Arraez, Second Base is the the fielding assignment his numbers show talent for, but at that, Polanco is only good at second also.
  10. I said he was over rated, period, he is, Twins need defense far more than offense and he is not good but at the in 40 more games than Asudillo he has only 17 more RBI, as I said you try too hard and you are picking nits while say I am picking nits; as I SAID, HE is GREATLY over rated, or to make you feel better as a whole ballplayer. -- ( In the old days, they would have called him a BANJO HITTER Which was NOT a plus., he reminds me of Lenny Green, without the base stealing ability.)
  11. Twins need his defense at Third BADLY, neither Arraez or Astudillo or Gordon are not a minus there.
  12. Yep, so they can impress like Rooker, Larnach, Celestino -- 90 loss season, what every one strives for. IF, if they are ready for the Big League they will come up and stay, this is not extension of AAA practice and learning. -- (Some dudes with all the skills needed just never get the break or are on a team with excess quality players, that is not the Twins)
  13. Astudillo fielding percentage .997 RF/9 9.09 RF/G 7.00 -- Arraez .985 RF/9 3.83 RF/G 3.22 Arraez is greatly over rated, I rest my case.
  14. Catcher - Garver-Rortvedt-Astudillo 1st Base Sano-Kirillofff 2nd Base Polanco 3re Base Donaldson-Astudillo RF Kepler-Kirilloff Cf Buxton-Garlick Lf Garlick-Gordon DH Cruz- Gordon SP/BP Throw the Bones.
  15. Yep they are a real treat for the decreasing number of fans who paid to see a game.
  16. Oh, sure I will get out my video of every game, you try too hard.
  17. Yup, that is why I poo-poo all the -- Let's bring up x, y or k from the minors because they are sooo good.?
  18. Nice rationalizaton.
  19. Two of Albers pitches were in the same place, one a strike, one a ball.
  20. I think Twins pitching problems has some thing to do with management.
  21. They won't get shut-out.
  22. Where did Moran come from?
