  1. Come on make them eat their shift.
  2. Time for Kirilloff to have a good memory hitting after his great move at first. .
  3. Twins lose one to zero, Baldelli's shift lost the game.
  4. Good for Kirilloff and most fortunate Arraez did not throw it away.
  5. Presuming the Rockies do not score, the batters up for Twins next inning -- my, my, my.
  6. New pitcher has sub 2 era.
  7. Twins are watching first pitch strikes again.
  8. Think Gordon will swing for the fence? Guess not.
  9. Jeffers gets above the Mendoza line and Kirilloff falls below.
  10. From the gamecast strikebox, what is Celestino doing?
  11. The possibility of this make position player pitching worth it always. Chris Davis (BAL): May 6, 2012 -- Win, 2 IP, 0 R, 2 K Davis didn’t just get the win in this game -- he pitched well, allowing just two hits in two innings of work and striking out Red Sox players Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Adrián González. Davis started at designated hitter in the game and was 0-for-7 at the point when he took over on the mound for Jim Johnson in the 16th. He got another at-bat, as a pitcher in the top of the 17th and grounded out, making it 0-for-8. But then he turned in his second scoreless inning of work to seal the win for the Orioles. "I'm like, sweet," he said after the game of being asked to pitch. "I get to try something different today because hitting ain't working." Davis is one of five position players to get a pitching win in the Expansion Era, along with John Baker (2014), Wilson Valdez (2011), Brent Mayne (2000) and Rocky Colavito (1968). Davis is the only one to record multiple strikeouts while doing so. This game was doubly notable on the position player pitching front because Red Sox outfielder Darnell McDonald got the loss after giving up the go-ahead three-run homer to Adam Jones in the 17th. It’s the only game in the Expansion Era where position players got both decisions.
  12. Celestino has to resurrect his batting average.
  13. Multiple Twins have been a few feet short of a run/s lately; whether it is ten feet or one foot short, makes zero difference.
  14. Twins do not have time to be a AAA learning team; fan attendance magnifies that.
  15. Garlick is batting ,262 with 6 home runs while Kirilloff, Miranda and Larnach are all heading for the Mendoza line. If Garlick does not stay, that is proof Baldelli has head problems.
  16. One better than his average week does not make Jeffers look better (his bunt though, was marvelous), none of the rookies, I do not consider Arraez a rookie any more, did well enough to think Sano is not gong right back to first. Their fielding is actually worse than Sano.
  17. Kirilloff is headed for the Mendoza line again, but the so are all the rookies except Gordon; at that Gordon's Willie Mays Hays fielding is not a positive for the Twins.
  18. Twins cannot get into a rhythm because the line-up is a who's on first item.
  19. After Jeffers near perfect bunt yesterday, some know how to do it; that at-bat will forever be a bright spot in my baseball memeories.
  20. Both Schoop and Grossman are in the pits after an excellent season last year and Badoo has turned into a Sano imitation. Only Cabrera is up to par; had Cabrera played like this last year, Detroit would have done better so to me Detroit is the surprise failure this year.
  21. Why are either Miranda or Kirilloff not getting shots at left field; Larnach's weak arm is a short-coming and at least see how strong their arms are. Maybe not better but take a look. Right now all seem to be in a funk but as they are here, with Baldelli's roll the dice format, have a look.
  22. He should have thrown more strikes, rather than have a snit-fit though it is understandable why he did.
