  1. It is not how often , it is too often when the at bat really counts.
  2. Not signing Simmons for Short Stop not as good as Simmons, WHY while losing a good outfielder, WHY?
  3. Probably got that from the way some speak of Cave, Simmons and La Tortuga, what goes around comes around while all the bring up blah, blah, blah as if it will magically fix the Twins is silly blind faith. The LaMonte Wade Jr. , Badoo etc. are doing well with another team, what makes one think that that would happen here of course Schoop and C.J. Cron are doing well with another team, why does no one miss them? Happ is doing well with another team, hmmmm....

Sports is now money, if it does not bring in large amounts of money, it is a lessor sport; sad but very true down to so called amateur sports.

That team is on the level of Minor League baseball, no matter how one wants to glorify women's sports. Women's golf is still second string and it has been around a long, long time with a Minnesotan Woman, Patty Berg who was one of the best. I nearly bought a set of her golf clubs at a large flea market at the Minn. State Fair Grounds, twenty years ago, as they were long enough for me, I am six feet tall, but while I have never broken, or bent a golf club, at that, they looked a bit fragile; I was curios what it would be like, playing with the golf club heads she had.
  6. You are right, it was only the sixties where the Twins won more than they lost, over the decade, and the nineties when they were close to even. I do know some years the Twins dominated but only one decade and not by much; it was after Tom Kelley left that the Twins became an embarrassment playing the Yankees. In 1971 & 1979 are the only two years of the ninties the Twins came out on top. I am AMAZED that in 2013/14 the Twins won the series in New York but got their butt kicked at home.
  7. I hope Garlick is in the Majors next season , with the Twins.
  8. There is no guarantee either will get better, all that is either wishful thinking, or blind faith. With rare exceptions, AAA is not Major League pitching no matter how good one may seem; unless they are facing a major league pitcher sent down for rehab.
  9. I know Pie-in-the-Sky dreamings of rookies is SOOO much more relaxing than reality.
  10. I take it you were not watching the Twins during the seventies. I will admit that frustration started after less than ten years from a World Series appearance but then started with the Twins being swept in the play-offs in 1969-70, AND back then they dominated the Yankees.
  11. Your reasoning the others you listed will do any better? Refsnyder is falling like a rock, I an wondering why they do not play Cave.

Do not forget the Golden Gophers who have been in Nowheres Ville since 1962, NorthWestern went from the toilet bowl to the best in those years while the Gophers just swirl around.
  13. The Twins should have never let Robbie Grossman go and kept him instead of Cave, or kept both, as the year they were both on the team Cave had more HR pop but Grossman had a better BA.
  14. I have never said boo about his batting average, only about his hitting in that he too often watches a third strike go by and too often looks like a wind-up toy dancing while batting. (To be more severe, he looks like a spoiled brat not getting his way.) It is his POOR fielding that I have "ragged" on all season.? I go by what I see, not some math nerd numbers that so many are infatuated with.
  15. I have read in baseball news high-lights that umpires with supposed game changing obtuse calls is not rare nor aimed at the Twins only.
  16. His defense is at best average and too often worse.
  17. Why, Cave II? Cave is mobile, something most of the rookies are not.
  18. He is a rookie, wait till next year; it could have been much, much worse.
  19. Rondell White earned his keep in the 2006 play off games.
  20. Really now, hmmm: Rdrs/yr SS Simmons 22 Rdrs/yr SS Florimon 7 WOW, they are the same if you are blind in one eye and cannot see out of the other. LOL ?
