  1. Garver drives in Polanco -- sound familiar.
  2. Baldelli reads this site and is doing it just to annoy some here.
  3. Some here think Spring Training is a farce, but Polanco hit .419 in ST, it makes zero sense for him to come out of ST and hit like the Twins did for one half of April.
  4. Rortvedt One thing he did fairly often before, hitting home runs in his few at bats, has stopped; maybe quiting trying to hit it over the fence made a huge difference. If he were here, he would probably be doing exceptionally well in AAA, so being where he is, in the Majors should be good for him.
  5. Margot is not the problem, annoying yes, but not more than a zit on a fleas ass. I do think they should bring Keirsey Jr. up for a look see and take Wallner off of he 40 man briefly. Wallner is Mimicking Gallo, as is Julien, while Miranda and Castro fell apart today but a look see at Keirsey would be interesting.

  7. He still has a 42 percent K rate he is far from secure.
  8. Still far, far better than Kirilloff and surprisingly , very good in Center Field but not in Right or Left.
  9. If the Twins said such things as players were awful, then in the past few years they would have been saying our rookies are awful. Sano and Wallner would be two big examples.
  10. Santana was brought in to be a full time 1st baseman whichis exactly what he will do; one reason he waas brought in was his much better defense than Kirilloff and that has not changed.
  11. With Julien is give up 10 more runs with 20 more Ks; at this point he is another Gallo, minus top line defense. His defense is better than it was but that is not hard to do.
  12. OK, this one has me puzzled, looking MLB specs. for both majors and minors, In AAA Martin is a far better 2nd baseman than Julien, so it makes little sense to dick around with Julien at 2nd. When you figure in Major l. Castro is a better CF than Martin and Farmer is a better SS than Castro and Farmer is a better 2nd baseman than any of them, why they are putting out the line-up they do is a bit strange.
  13. Thank you, I have heard of this place often but never think of it till garden is full. This year I am taking a trip down there and have look see.
  14. In mid-Minn. I thought I might get a garden in early, corn , but hard freeze , single digits, ended that thought. It did warm up again, and I thought I still might beat the norm by two to three weeks but now it is rain, or peeing, every other day darn near so getting the garden tilled is on hold. We needed the rain badly, so I am not complaining but I have not yeat uncovered the roses which is usually done in April. I put the leaves from the roses on top of the planted potatoes for mulch. This year rather than handling a fairly large amount of leaves twice, I was going to go straight from rose bed to garden bed but I have zero love to plant potatoes in a muddly slop.. Did that once and have zero urge to do it again. -- (I plant potatoes deep 8 to 14 inches so I move a lot of dirt.) I generally do not want to get potatoes in before May Day as that means they get ripe early which means they end up being stored longer and I end up with a lot of heavily sprouting potatoes in the basement a month before planting time. -- I used to plant carry over potatoes as small as one-half a man's thumb , as I hated tossing potatoes in the compost bin, but now I often toss several dozen. I have with few exceptions quit cutting potatoes for planting, unless they are bigger than a baseball, I toss the whole potato in the hole.
  15. A team like the Twins that has shown it can absolutely horrible, such AAA mode trial, unless forced by injury should not be done. At that if you are going to do a -- let's see what if -- then bringing Keirsey Jr. up makes more sense.
  16. Percentage from number of games in a position and that changed a lot. 21 in '20, 24 in '21, 18 in '22, 55 in '23
  17. Wait till he heals., then play him again. Of course they could maneuver the system, take Wallner off of the 40 man and bring Keirsey Jr. up and see if he can handle Big Show pitching.
  18. To you. I would bet a lot of money they are the reason Margo does not play Center Field. His numbers dropped to a nasty degree from 2021 to 2022 to 2023.
  19. Martin is a horrible infielder; Julien and Farmer have that covered. Shoeman made me check som stats. at MLB -- Martin is a better 2nd baseman than Julien
