  1. IMO? When was his last surgery? Its been 2 plus years and it's been his 3rd or 4th such issue. So tell me, when will they decrease in frequency? IYO
  2. If one says things enough times, one tends to believe it has to be so. No matter how ludicrous it may be. Confusious or some one like that.
  3. Vasquez had a better chance of getting a double on his base hit. And then he easily scores on Martin's double. Watkins sends look just like the past few seasons.
  4. Julien is much improved at 2nd. He should wear a boot.
  5. Falvey may ask some pointed questions, but he also would have to answer some. He's the guy who drafts or trades for these players.
  6. Pop-up on the infield. Haha. Twins future looks solid.
  7. Twins defense in spring breakout game is atrocious. All around. It's like 7 year old t-ball. Winokur made a nice play. He also threw one into right field on a play.
  8. Skubal. 2024. 18-4 228 K 2.31 ERA. Not to far off from the numbers I posted. I just said it's not that unrealistic. Some posters don't believe players can improve year to year. Last year at this time the question was WHO would be the 3rd reliable starter if the Twins made the playoffs.
  9. To all the naysayers. Ryan and Ober have improved each year. Who's to say that one of them can't put together a 15-4 type season with a 2.96 era with 200 K. I could see it happening. It's not that preposterous.
  10. Another Twin who was mismanaged. They forced Dobnak to over use that slider. They knew it would lead to further injury. So pathetic. The good dr and djm are spot on. I think there might be some collusion going on. Not one major league team would sign a major league ready starting pitcher for 3 million. That's crazy.
  11. Who else worries you? Its not so much the gloves. It's more like pivots, range, and throws that has me most concerned. And it's an ongoing theme tied into the multiple ways that Rocco deploys his lineups. I keep hearing how Twins pitchers are flyball pitchers. But I'd love to see some data regarding double-play opportunities that weren't turned. Not to mention I've observed quite a few balls that were scooped up by Santana last year that won't be scooped this year. There were 2 or 3 the other day against TB.
  12. I hope the hotdog water is new. The rest I can deal with.
  13. So, you're saying that I'm losing my mind for no reason? OK I guess I'll transfer my anger back to the pro Yankee broadcast streaming through the YES network.
  14. The Twins have a history of ruining players according to the good Dr. Polanco, AK, now Martin and Miranda. Did you see how they had Miranda at 3rd today? This is just a travesty. Total mismanagement. Every other club in the ML would salivate at the prosoect of playing Martin at 2B and raise havoc on the bases while scoring tons of runs and also playing top-notch defense. And Miranda should be kept off 3rd so he don't get hurt.
  15. Common sense. Yeah that's a real measuring stick. Just because you've been advocating for a move, it hasn't happened. So how do you proceed moving forward from right now? This is where I agree with @chpettit19 I don't believe Jeffers is worth 10 to 15 million. The Twins may have to trade a starter to get the catcher of the future since there aren't any standouts in their farm system right now.
  16. Do you just make up stuff? How does lack of starting pitching depth lead to injuries to Ryan and Paddack? Let's hear this mumbo jumbo. Ryan had shown no obvious signs and Paddack was a year and a half removed from TJ. Were they mismanaged? And you keep wanting to trade Jeffers. OK genius. Who catches in 26 with Jeffers traded and Vasquez contract is over? You also stated that you don't believe there is depth. You mentioned Lopez Ober Ryan SWR Paddack and a "slew" of AAA arms that can be rotated in and out to help manage the rotation. Isn't that the definition of depth? But then you wouldn't mind moving Paddack if it'll help them meet the budget. So there is depth, or no?
  17. Good luck with that. Those NYY Podcasters are more knowledgeable than Cashman or Boone so they're observations are gold.
  18. 🙂 Yes. But the same cast of characters have been beating and will continue beating that same drum. And when asked for proof, they can't. That why owners dont/won't open the books. p.s. you forgot nada
  19. Couldn't agree more. Instead of being proactive several years ago when it was clear that changes were needed, they chose to alienate the fan base for a quick money grab. Now, even if they do everything right, it'll take several more years to right the ship and gain back what was lost. Find out if Caitlin Clark is a Twins fan. Sign her up for several years to promote the Twins. Strike while the iron is hot.
  20. If France gets first. What does that mean? Rocco is just giving it to him?You didn't answer my question. Is France a better 1st baseman than Lewis is a 3rd baseman? Mr Defense over all else is OK with a subpar defender who hit for a couple years. You were sure to let everyone know that Santana was a superior defender last year and Gallo the year before. And that they deserved to start over all others because of that fact. But now it's ok if this guy sucks defensively. As long as he doesn't suck as bad as Lewis does at 3rd. If Miranda's glove and bat are better than France he should start over him. Simple as that.
  21. How so? Is France significantly better at 1st than Lewis is at 3rd?
