  1. Are appointments by the commissioners office to be a mandatory member from a team that the fans and players didn't want any player from really "earned"? Or is that type of All-star appointment (and injury replacement of another player to replace a mandatory pick that is not going to play because of injury) a gift?
  2. I really don't care about the trade. A writer is allowed to have fun and write. But I can read, and you might want to re-read a bit..... "No. 27 overall prospect in baseball, according to FanGraphs."
  3. Great summary. 6-7 wasted money. at least 5-7, as some were enamored by Romo. 7-7 if you consider how horrible Perkins was at the end of his last season. Twins fans get excited about some pretty pedestrian results. They really strain to elevate some players sometimes with hope that they can be better.
  4. Cowardly. Falvey makes everyone manage and coach this way, and when the results suck, it is the fault of the guys they picked. But it is the philosophy that stinks. If your coaches suck, in mass, then it is the guy that hired them all that should go with them. Falvey and Baldelli are in arrogant denial. And Watkins not fired? I guess Falvey and Levine don’t watch the games, either.
  5. Well, I know what I like. These days, WAR lovers will be WAR lovers, I guess, and define worth through those special WAR glasses.. I do hope that a top of the rotation pitcher standard for all Twins fans will become better than a 4 career ( and this season) ERA pitcher. This season, again, of course, it wasn’t.
  6. Maybe. I never like or liked it. Even when they win. I absolutely hated the classless sausage and the selfies. Just like I don't like cheaters being heroes on our team. I never like bad umpiring, never ever, even if it goes in our teams favor. But yes, I have to put up with it. That's what you get when the new set of strangers are hired and in it for the personal reasons and to improve their career resume when you have been a fan since the Senators became the Twins and came to Minnesota in 1961.
  7. Hey! But we got a somewhat erratic career (and this season) 4 ERA pitcher for the batting champ, Arraez (who won 2 more titles since). And they still tell us that Lopez is an ace, and give him Pablo Day every time he pitches at home and sell two different colors of jerseys to the suckers followers. That's some kind of keen maneuvering.
  8. I just really don't enjoy the brand of baseball these guys want to play. Shifts, platoons, not caring about Ks, multi positioning that players really aren't a benefit at any position but play them anyway, rental over the hill vets, dumpster diving for spare parts, no stealing bases, not bunting, horrible 3rd base coaching.... really sick of it. They can blame it on the players, but it is really their system that isn't letting players excel and become who they could be, and they pick them. I find it quite cowardly to deflect so much, and am really tired of it, and now don't even get excited to see them live in visiting cities. Pitching pipeline? Another year of mediocre success if any from the pipe. Pohlads and this quasi business. He should sell it to an owner that wants to have it as a hobby that doesn't mind using his other riches to subsidize his fun and spend the $ he can't take with him to enjoy himself while he is still alive.
  9. And that is BS. It may have been his 2nd officially scored error by the charity workers that are called official scorers, but that is only because they hardly ever score blunders errors anymore. I saw plenty more than 2, that's for sure.
  10. We sure could use a lot better and consistent performance for a year. Maybe next year, when he starts getting paid the 22 million. He was a classy just over 4 ERA pitcher, right there with his career average. Nice guy? Sure. Articulate? Yup. We sure could use a $22 million year in 2025 on the field.
  11. One at bat to "show their appreciation"? Talk about lame. Fans and posters have been trying to get rid of Kepler for the last 5 years or so. Ungrateful in general. Most would rather have 1 year strangers than a team that can gel and stay together. Always talking about getting rid of someone for unproven prospects that usually bomb and suffer the yoyo of the AAA train, or vets for a year, strangers, that are a shadow of what they once were, or just plain dumpster dives, especially when it comes to pitchers. Sure. Show your appreciation as you kick him out the door. Real sincere.
  12. I hope hardly anyone shows up for the last two games. Fans need to send a message to the players, manager, FO, and owners.
  13. Good thing Buxton and Correa took half the season off to be ready for the playoffs........
  14. Ownership and Baldelli decisions aside, these players really sucked the last two months. Not one of them hasn't added to the disfunction. The players lost, and are shown to be highly overrated by the hometown fans. You are your record. The game would have been over if Jeffers would have just caught that easy throw to the plate that cost the run. All kinds of little things. How about the tragic reverse of grand slams to a 2 foot dribble off the plate with the bases sacked, These guys sucked.
  15. TOPA !!!!!! Bring the stranger in to put the final hopes out of reach. How fitting. Waited all year for him to come in a game and give it up.
  16. Well, Vazquez is still on the bench roster. He is still active. Carmargo is called up, but he didn't replace Vazquez but someone else. Miranda and Vazquez have 2 of the 28 spots today and are unavailable.
  17. Have I ever worked for a crappy boss? Yes. Me. Ha So dumb. Excellent vocabulary. Of course it is ridiculous to even consider. Yet, it happens in NFL and NBA. Most love money more than the game, when it comes right down to it. They say different, but their actions don't lie. They get soooooo much money, and often take half the season off or even more, for whatever reasons they can or can't control. GET THAT MONEY!!!!!!! Whether an owner or player, there is never enough.
  18. All the roster moves and Twins still playing with 2 short on the bench with Miranda and Vazquez not available...........
  19. Why? We do, and we are just fans for life, many longer than the owners have owned the team and certainly longer that most on the team have even been alive. Caring is not based on others. It is based on the individual and their care and morals.
  20. Hey.... maybe, because Correa is so loving to be in Minnesota, and he is a declared leader, maybe he would give up some of his Dior contract and amend his contract to get a better team around him, you know, like many great football or basketball players have. Maybe? Especially since he only plays half a season, anyway........ Ya, I don't think he loves this team that much, either.
  21. In this case, late is the same as never. Too late.
  22. HA! Although, not really the save, but the 9th. Yikes. Nice of him to show up for the season.........
