  1. He is. He got caught cheating the shift a couple days ago. Still trying to work his special magic.
  2. Pablo Day Lopez. Right. This is what he is. A career 4 (3.92) ERA pitcher. 43-43. Now 4.72/4-4 on the year. Pretty close to his career line. He can look good some games, but he is really nothing special. Half good games, half forgettable games. Certainly not the leader of a pitching staff, or an ace. He has career stats to back it up. This is what rotten meat sausage worship and arrogant post game selfies on the mound get you. Embarrassment Karma. It was classless then, too. Even during the winning streak, Baldelli would play 4 or 5 players with .100 something batting averages. It has to catch up to a team, and it has. This is really embarrassing.
  3. Exactly. You can't leave close pitches in umpires hands as long as they are allowed to call it and make mistakes. The batters know this. And since, what 1870, umpires have been making millions of wrong calls.
  4. Close enough to be mistaken for a strike. Some batters hit homers on those pitches...... BECAUSE AT LEAST THEY SWING THE BAT!!!!!!!!!
  5. It was off speed breaking ball on Friday from Duran too. Friday it was Jeffers that just kept calling them, and today it was Vazquez on the first pitch. Just so so clever they are. The guy can blow it by the batter, but don't let him. Julien was sleeping when the last out, Gimenez. was stranded between 2nd and 3rd, yes, but Vazquez could have faked a throw to solve the delay. I really don't see much value in a $10 million catcher that is supposed to be Mr. Defense, (especially because he hits worse than pitchers used to), can't get the third out there. We should have been into the 8th right then. No decision to walk Naylor and pitch to another batter needed. This team is so very disappointing these last 6 games.
  6. I sure hope the pretending a sausage is your savior, and then adding the narcissism of group selfies on the mound immediately after games is over now forever.
  7. Because you could be watching in an allowed location no matter where you live.
  8. One pitch hit 100 today. That is it. One 100mph even. Their all-star closer, used as a closer, not a set up guy, did his job. Our not all-star closer not used as a closer gave up a game winning homer on an 86 mph curve, and lost the game. The umpire didn't hit the homer, and I disdain poor umpires. Baldelli is losing it. totally. Orkert had no business being in this game, and giving up the two runs, even if one of them he let score for his teammate, Woods. And our bats are back to begging for walks instead of protecting the plate with tow strikes. We all know you can't count on the umpires to get it right. You have to protect the plate until there is ABS.
  9. Batters seem to make a lot of contact on Duran. Not like a couple years ago. Ramirez didn't get a pitch faster than 96. Homered on an 86 mph curve.
  10. Must be saving Thielbar again for the 9th. 😵
  11. Martin defensive replacement in center. 🤪
  12. Ahhhhh, because he doesn't mind cheating, and hoping he can get away with it?
  13. Baldelli really pushing his luck with Margot after Farmer. the buck some hitters.
  14. Ahhhhh. Correa trying to cheat again. Old habits never really die........
  15. Was Correa the one called for a shift violation? (No video today)
  16. Taking out Woods with 80 pitches, and bringing in Jax after Okert has given up the lead. Makes no sense. None at all. NO sense to even use Okert there. Jax is brought in no matter what side the batter bats from in the 9th. Baldelli Baldelli.
  17. Damn. That's even worse than Thielbar's 7 of 10! I think the only fine outing I remember is when Okert was brought in with the bases loaded against the Red Sox and struck out Devers. Those must have been the only two runners in scoring position all year he didn't allow to score.
  18. Isn't Santana supposed to haunt his former team, like he did us when he played for Cleveland?
  19. I understand he was talking about something of a pattern and not a specific pitch. Seems pretty clear.
  20. So who was called for a shift violation? I don't see it in game summary or box.
  21. Okert cannot pitch in a close game. But Baldelli thinks he can. And back to back days (even if it was only 6 pitches yesterday)? Is Baldelli sleeping in the dugout? Not in a game with a lead or pressure. No Okert. No Jackson. Try to win a game after a 3 game losing streak, maybe.
