  1. So I was one batter off........ damn. Sweeeeeeet.
  2. Three run easy swing homer coming up from Buxton...
  3. Awesome at bat by Schoop!
  4. To Hernandez.... that's better. Whew! Out of the inning. Can't say I am excited to see Parker coming in the bottom of the 9th..... and Kimbrel is still available....
  5. First pitch right down the middle by Rodgers not my idea of smart pitching.
  6. THAT's how you spell relief!
  7. Another inherited runner scored. That's not how you spell relief.
  8. Some would say it would just be a hail mary for Buxton to throw a speedy runner like Harper out at the plate.
  9. Probably not worried. But I still bet he is tired of slow starts. I know I would be, even if I realized that is my standard to bear.
  10. And when it is a totally arbitrary line, it gathers even more importance. ____________________ Don't cross it. At least their arms don't fall off if they do.
  11. Looks like Rooker is off to his usual tepid start. I bet he is getting tired of that. "The Twins have a rule that if a pitcher throws 35 or more pitches in an inning, he will be done for the night." Wow. What an abitrary rule to have. Is this new, or a Falvey/Levine era thing?
  12. Smart or stupid? That might be a better question. That play was stupid and foolish and cost a run. The smart play was to play it off the wall. For the game and for is body. He didn't even look at the ball. He definitely needs to smarten up. We need him all year.
  13. 1 homer in five games for the Twins. The power just turned off from ST. And it ain't just the chilly weather. Good win considering the sketchy fielding. One early game and Gibson has regressed? I don't think so.
  14. Baldy loves Parker for some reason. Like the gardy bromance with Punto.
  15. I guess some are quick to forget why Gibson was skipped until this rotation and his sickness. Such fair weather. As if this start is indicitive of reversion. SMH.
  16. All the runs after Adrianza's horrible play that went as a hit..... are really unearned. Gibson gets the B team. All the bench at once. Not sure I like that. Not all of them at once.
  17. I like wins, no matter how they come. Buxton just needs to get smart and relax. That catch attempt and throw were just horrible. Senseless. Hard to understand. Foolish. His brain needs to slow down. That whole play was disgusting, including a 93 mph no movement first pitch fastball right down the middle by Rodgers. Yuk.
  18. Agreed. Lot's of #4s win games. Certainly he is not as special as he can be. Observing is not complaining in my book.
  19. Seriously? Nothing.... like a professional ball player with a great arm being on target, late or not? I totally disagree there. A bad throw is a bad throw. He wasn't even that deep. I guess I just hope for better performances as a standard.
  20. Horrible throw home. Swinging at low and outside. Is the Buxton honeymoon fading? Berrios looks like a #4 today.
  21. "Kepler struck out, and the rally went on to fall short. Presumably, Baldelli is just trying to show confidence in his core guys, but turning to a contact machine like Willians Astudillo in that spot – speedy runner on second, no outs, deepest bench the Twins will have all year – seemed like such an obvious call that it was surprising not to see it from the ostensibly analytical thinker. ....." Exactly!
  22. Too each his own. Gardenhire's blather made me sick, and rarely laugh, but often made me sick and furious and yell at the screen. I would take anyone BUT Gardenhire, so maybe, just maybe, I am biased.
  23. That's what I was refering to when I commented "Cuzzi can't see balls and strikes any better than he can see the foul line!" earlier in the thread. Disgusting umpire. I hope Odorizzi has learned not to throw it right down the middle on a 3-0 count. That pitch was meat to Hanley Rameriz. No need to ever serve up the juice on a 3-0 count. Never ever. Especially with 2 outs and the the bases empty. Of course, he has to know that already, right? This is not to deride the fact that he was stellar, today.
