  1. As a sports fan I think Twitter is extremely useful. Up to the minute updates during games, deadlines, etc. You choose who you follow, you can customize lists (IE: Twins writers, NBA players, etc.) Any way of quickly sharing information isn't a complete waste IMO.
  2. Reading the game thread hours later. But knowing the outcome.............this has to be post of the night.
  3. Ooo Braves called up last year's #1 overall pick Dansby Swanson and he is making his major league debut tonight!
  4. I finally just added the adblock extension and it has seemed to fix most problems I have with the site......but it's only been a day.
  5. Is Garver even a realistic option next year at this point? He was just promoted to AAA after only playing 95 games in AA and catching a little less than half of them. The chances of him being an everyday catcher next season seem unreasonable slim. Why rush him the pros at this point?
  6. If we are at the same stage in a year, I will start worrying more about Buxton. I love what Max is doing, but he did have almost 30% more plate appearances in the minors than Buxton has had, or a season plus of games. I really hope they don't rush him back. If he looks like a changed hitter next Spring Training then I hope he makes the team. If not, let him play in AAA. If the Twins need to sign an OF to make that happen, they should. You can make all the comparisons you want, but it won't change the fact he only turns 23 this offseason. I still have high hopes.
  7. The last two days on multiple computers the page reloads itself over and over and over. Even when I click the stop script on my browser it keeps going. It's not on the main page or this page but inside each individual thread. Anyone else getting this? It's slowing down my system dramatically. Windows 10 and Google Chrome.
  8. It changed it a small bit, they hit Jose pretty hard today
  9. I am holding out hope they swing Milone for a PTBNL later this month and then non-tender Santiago this off-season.
  10. I'm sorry he wasn't getting pinched, or hazed by the umpire. http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/cache/location.php-pitchSel=608638&game=gid_2016_06_11_bosmlb_minmlb_1&batterX=&innings=yyyyyyyyy&sp_type=1&s_type=&league=mlb&pnf=&zlpo=&cache=1.gif He was missing and it wasn't even close.
  11. And left the bases loaded with his last 3 batters reaching via HBP, Walk, Walk with a wild pitch thrown in there. Either way, I'll chalk it up to nerves and facing the best offense in baseball. Looking forward to seeing him out there again.
  12. Oh I agree completely. Just saying there won't be a roster crunch in 3 weeks. I would much rather see a few live arms before then though.
  13. We are only 3 weeks away from roster expansions as well.
  14. I know all the talk lately has been about the offense, especially Das Wunderkid, Mauer, Polanco and Dozier but....how about that bullpen?
  15. 2B Dozier 1B Mauer RF Kepler DH Sano 3B Plouffe CF Rosario SS Polanco C Centeno LF Santana P Duffey Trevor is back. Jorge to short. Sano to DH. I can dig it.
  16. I am tired of seeing infielders playing in the OF. I'd rather see Grossman, Rosario and Kepler starting with D. San filling in 1-2 times per week than just tossing Polonco out there. So far, Molly has done a pretty good job rotating Polonco around the diamond and getting his bat in the lineup without having him playing in the OF.
  17. I gotta ask............what is with that hair from Andriese?
  18. Considering Grossman and Buxton don't play the same position should pretty much kill this sentiment. But....are you really telling me that the "manager doesn't get it" by playing the guy leading the team in OBP and 3rd in OPS+?
  19. That's your argument for Molitor must go? That Byron Buxton who is hitting .193/.247/.315 hasn't gotten more plate appearances?
  20. Vintage Joe right now and hopefully a glimpse of what Max has in store for us for years to come
  21. It was based upon the new rejuvenated farm system as well as Tex, Arod, Sabathia coming off the books and the slew of good players who are set to hit free agency in 2018. Harper, Machado, Kershaw, etc. I think the main piece was from a New York writer who just assumed emerging prospects, getting rid of deadweight and the Yankees being the Yankees shelling out 200+M on free agents. Fun to create the next dynasty on paper, but having it come to fruition is a different beast.
  22. The only reason I question him being a Twin next year is that contract. He won't hit the vesting option which means he is destined for free agency. With his play this year he is probably looking at least a 2 year deal. Personally I don't like the idea of a multi year extension.
  23. I'll add that Archer's contract makes him that much more valuable as well. He contract going forward is 2017: $4.8M, 2018: $6.2M, 2019: $7.5M 2020 Team Option: $9M ($1.8M buyout) 2021 Team Option: $11M. If we thought Santana's 2 year deal was in the cheap range going forward, Archer's is an absolute steal.
