  1. Just saw, damn fine turn by Schoop and a helleva heads up by Arraez!
  2. Lewis is said to be a very good CF as well
  3. Where did you here that? I read he took batting practice, ran the bases and completed outfield drills yesterday.
  4. I think the STRIB had an article on Friday that made it seem pretty optimistic he would be back today. I guess we hope for tomorrow....
  5. Well Sano is starting at 1B tonight.....
  6. And he has options, unlike someone like May
  7. 1. C Mitch Garver ® 2. SS Jorge Polanco (S) 3. DH Nelson Cruz ® 4. LF Eddie Rosario (L) 5. 1B Miguel Sano ® 6. RF Marwin Gonzalez (S) 7. CF Max Kepler (L) 8. 2B Jonathan Schoop ® 9. 3B Luis Arraez (L)
  8. Mike Trout says what's up. Been in the league for nearly a decade, the best player of this decade and seen the playoffs once and was swept out. Baseball is very much a team sport. You have a disdain for Mauer, so this isn't worth pursuing.
  9. OH! My apologies I had no idea, that's for the education, that's interesting!
  10. Not to nitpick, but waivers go by league same league first, so Cleveland would get first shot before Philly regardless or record. Edit: Nevermind.
  11. I think it's pretty obvious that since none of the guys you mentioned have changed teams that's it not as easy as overpaying to make a trade like that in June, unless it's an insane overpay. With even that being said, even if most of those guys are upgrades, there is no saying they would have been perfect in the pen. No reliever on that list is worth 4!? wins in a calendar month.
  12. Parker has....dare I say it.....been pretty decent? He has given up 1 R in his last 10 outings, 14K/5 BB in 11.2 IP since June 18th.
  13. I mean.....the way he is pitching I completely loathe him as well. His command with all his pitches seems to be lacking right now. He had runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs and the only run scored on a passed ball while he struck out the side.....what's wrong with showing a little emotion? It was the next inning that really got me.
  14. Jesus, no one is saying the bullpen is great, some of us are just saying the lineup should take a portion of the blame. They left ALOT of missed opportunities this week. How many baserunning errors did they make this week? How many times did they have multiple guys in scoring positions with less than 2 outs and fail to score? It happened over and over again. 3 and 4 runs often times are not enough runs to win the game, even if you have a 1 run lead going into the 7th inning. If they were getting mowed down in order it wouldn't be as frustrating, but constantly having opportunities to add to leads and failing to convert things at least like a sac fly is maddening.
  15. At least we get Wednesday night on ESPN.
  16. Well it will be in the next 9 days, that's for sure. And it takes two to tangle, it's not like a flurry of trades are being reported. Once the first move or two are made I am guessing things will start moving quickly.
  17. Max might have more walk offs, but difference maker games? JFC people have short memories around here.
  18. Pineda continues to be effective until about pitch 75-80 where the wheels fly off.
  19. What a roller coaster of emotions. Win is a win!
  20. Yes, though I don't think Strike 1 or 2 were strikes. I'm surprised he let that one go though.
  21. Morin was smoke and mirrors this year. Don't let the 3.18 ERA convince you he was doing a very good job this year. Morin does not miss bats. 4.4 K/9 from a reliever isn't going to cut it. He is an average reliever at best, as told by his 4.51 FIP. He is very, very replaceable.
  22. Meh when it fits your narrative go with it right? Rosario hit his 3-run HR on the 1st pitch the other night. If Garver would have put that ball in the gap, this thread wouldn't be a thing. Also, to the OP, Mauer taking the 1st pitch is the greatest reason he won't be in the HOF? I would love to hear you back that up. If you can convince me that is the reasons and not concussions and resulting symptoms, be my guest.
