  1. Well he isn't going to put Garver out there and the only other option is Marwin, who I am guessing he doesn't want to burn in case of an injury anywhere else on the field. Need another bench bat.
  2. Out of all the acts you pick to call garbage you pick her? The girl can sing.
  3. Man, Duffey is so frustrating to watch. His stuff is so good when he's on, and then on a dime he can't seem to find the strike zone.
  4. Since before that. In 40 games since June 12th, when he hit his high water mark of .341 batting average. .240/.296/.391 slash line with 6 HR, 17 RBI, 14 BB and 31 K in 197 PA.
  5. Not a hit, but Eddie puts the ball in play and gets the runner in from 3rd, something the Twins lacked doing for about a month, great to see!
  6. This is an interesting topic, because what do you do? You can't pay all young players a TON more, because only a small handful are worth it. You start taking away the "free" years and there are a lot of guys who don't get the chance to develop because they are forced on ML rosters or are gone. Not every prospect can cut thru the minors and onto a big league roster in 2-3 years. Baseball is an outlier sport because of varying stages of development time for so many players. It's obvious we are seeing a shift, as more and more veteran players are not seeing the 5-6-7+ years contracts into their 30's. Teams are getting smarter....payrolls aren't getting smaller though. Guys are still getting paid. It's interesting. I'm not sure what the solution is. I think they need to push back the deadline. Not enough teams are ready yet. Push it back 15-30 days.
  7. A save is a meaningless statistic. Poppen gave up 4 runs without getting an out. Twins win, yay. Nothing else to see here.
  8. Meh. 7-0. Miami. Ive got no problem Poppen him out then. That wasn't the problem.
  9. He's gunna Poppen down to Rochester soon if you know what I mean
  10. http://www.80sbaseball.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Walks-Will-Haunt.jpg hopefully
  11. My bad, it wasn't you who questioned Wolfson's report earlier.
  12. Boston and New York also on his NTC. He probably has his reasons. I will say it again, he's a weird dude, so who knows.
  13. Because he's a weird dude? Who knows. A guy who does it for a living reports he wouldn't waive the no-trade clause to come here. You either believe him or yell conspiracy to anyone who will listen. I'll go ahead and believe him.
  14. Got the pitcher's dual last night. How about some bombas tonight? Let Jose cruise to a W.
  15. None of the top bullpen guys moved. Vazquez, Diaz, Smith, Giles, Yates etc. Probably tells us they were at absolute premium price.
  16. Can we let anything play out before doomsday predictions,?
  17. The pitchforks are already out and deadline is still hours away.
