  1. Doesn't sound worse than Scalia? So while it sucks, things don't change much? Key is Ginsburg stays healthy for the next 4 years IMO...
  2. Could be wrong, but I swear I read they get about 4 million a year or so in donations online. 4 million a week would be 200 million a year in online donations which seems kind of high to me. Apologies if I was wrong before, may have mis read or mos remembered
  3. One of the good things is the ACLU has gotten more funding in the last 5 days then it literally has in the last 7 years. This will pay off huge dividends for years to come, Keep up the resistance my brothers and sisters!
  4. Keith Law Hates the Twins (former fringe prospects)
  5. Impressive really!
  6. Why would I take offense? It's not like I see any of that sweet sweet ad revenue I bring the site
  7. Not really concerned about that, just passing along what I was told in the last 24 hours.
  8. Wow, always knew you were one of the enemies!
  9. So stupid, this makes zero sense once so ever. Don't get me wrong, Morneau is one of my favorite players ever, but give me a freaking break. The fact that the Twins are even considering this gives me pause when it comes to the new FO....first the bungled Dozier trade, no impact signings in FA, and now another pointless reunion? Not a good look guys.
  10. Watch the censorship old man! /sarcasm
  11. 6 Muslims killed in a mosque by a white nationalist. Next to zero out of the White House, where is the out rage? I bet if it was a Muslim person killing 6 christians in a church things would be just slightly different.... http://www.salon.com/2017/01/30/canadian-mosque-shooting-suspect-was-a-white-man-who-showed-support-for-donald-trump-on-social-media/
  12. Spoke to Source again: General feeling amongst peers in other orgs: Twins overplayed hand way too much, Dodgers were willing to accept a lesser player (Forsythe) once it was clear Twins were asking too much for third player. One peer: (paraphrased) Twins better hope Dozier comes out of the gate white hot, otherwise will be huge regret passing up trade to LAD.
  13. I spend a lot of time in canada, and the general consensus (North can speak on this more than I) seems to be that Trudeau has really good ideals/thoughts/heart, but backs down too easily on things, hopefully this is one he sticks too. On a very selfish side note: this is great to hear from him. I'm getting married in a few months in Canada and we have a good number of people attending from Iran. It's absurd to think that if we had it here in NYC that a lot of folks (who already spent a lot on tickets hotel etc) wouldn't be allowed to attend if president Cheeto dick had his way.
  14. ACLU doing some good work tonight, a long ways to go, but it's a start and some mother ****ing hope! Feels good to get a small win on this one.
  15. It's ****ing embarrassing that hardly anyone on the right side of the aisle is standing up to trump in any meaningful way. This "Muslim" ban is not only deeply disturbing, its highly illegal. I'm ashamed to be an American at this point. Disgusting.
  16. I'd handicap the twins at 68.5 wins this year, and I would be hard pressed not to bet the under. This pitching staff is an embarrassment. The defense isn't much better.
  17. The Twins have been leaking a ton of stuff for "spin" See: Cards being interested
  18. Anyways back on topic, these first 5 days feel like the longest 5 days ever.
  19. But none of that addresses the need for a the second bomb. Which I still think was more about the US flexing its muscles to Russia (and helped lead us to the Cold War eventually)
  20. No but who did they trade for him?
  21. In re: to Tampa, who did we give up for Jensen again?
  22. Did we have this debate before?
  23. We were perfectly content on letting Russia handle all the dirty work (and really about 95%) of the work when it came to the rest of the war. Hmmm
  24. This is a quick primer: https://www.thenation.com/article/interview-oliver-stone-why-us-was-wrong-drop-two-atomic-bombs-japan/ I'd recommend watching the episode as well (actually the full series is quite good and it's avail on Netflix), now there obviously is a bias, but then again there is a bias in most things. Yes it may have saved some Japanese but more than the bombs killed/ruined/maimed? I don't think so.
