  1. The good news is that this is likely the beginning of the end for Trump, the WaPost is doing some fantastic work and shows just how important journalism is to our democracy as a whole. It looks like the Russian Dossier is at least 80% true, it won't effect much, but I really really really really want the Russian urine hooker party to be verified as well. Just as one last insult to Donald Dump before he gets impeached.
  2. I'd settle for Common Man calling a game or two.
  3. John Oliver had a great segment last night.
  4. WWE stock is one to buy
  5. I use Coinbase. Once you execute a few trades it ups your limit pretty quick. It's pretty secure as well.
  6. Big Rollins fan, both musically and spoken. Thanks for the recomondation. In monaco currently, now THESE people know how to live If all goes bad in the US all I need to do is rob a few dozen banks and just move here.
  7. I know a couple people who have golfed with him (years ago) they said he is terrible and one of the worst cheats they have ever seen. Trump is so self conscious though (shocking) that people just would laugh it off between themselves.
  8. He's still better than Santana on the defense alone IMO. But yeah I won't lose any sleep if Stubbs doesn't make the team. Mainly I just really want Santana off the roster, bc Molitor will continue to give him too much playing time IMO.
  9. I think Stubbs ends up being our 5th OF and potentially platoons with Rosario against tough lefties.
  10. Not a bad RHB option who plays good defense as well. Surely this spells the end of the Danny santana era?
  11. File this under "meh" I don't understand why Santana remains on the 40 man roster at this point though. This guy is a better replacement IMO. Still think they messed up by DFA Park though. If Light was gonna be let go anyways, why not just let Light go last week and DannyS today?
  12. Brock: Buy. Bitcoin.
  13. I'm just happy that the first nuke that hits the US and A will hit nyc, and while it will be a really crappy 3 seconds, I and my loved ones here will be dust, meanwhile the rest of you can deal with the zombies, fallout and emperor trump leading the world to its inevitable demise
  14. What prospects do we actually have that could be "blocked" in 2017? Berrios is the only SP that could be "blocked" IMO Kepler/Buxton have already gotten starting gigs. Who could potentially be blocked? Park or Vargas? Rosario? Duffey? 4 guys who have been well below average players thus far in the majors?
  15. While I agree that Park was a terrible signing at the time and continues to be a terrible signing, replacing him with a guy like Morneau on a team that will more than likely struggle to win 75 games makes very little sense. I hope morneau has a last year in him, I also hope he can contribute for a team that has a shot at the playoffs.
  16. Very well said. It's insane anyone is just "cool" with what this team has done, worst team in baseball and one of the worst teams in all of sports the las 6 years, the fact people want to continue to give these losers the benefit of the doubt when they literally make no impact moves to help 2017...but much more importantly 2018/2019 and beyond is insane. I said it a few times before, the Pohlads are very very lucky that they own a team in Minnesota which is just used to losing and doesn't care at this point, put them in a city that has a passionate/smart fan base and people wouldn't be showing up to the stadium to watch this 95 million dollar garbage at all! At some point the fans, media, etc need to demand for results better than "worst team in baseball" unfortunately that doesn't exist currently in Minnie. I'm sure Dave St Peter and co will try to play off the fact that they are raising tix again for a crap product by saying "Look at us! We just opened another 3 bars at Target Field!" I'm a diehard Twins fan/Wild fan and Vikes fan and a New York Islanders season ticket holder (don't even care for the Isles) but I can say without a doubt that even if I lived a few blocks from target field I wouldnt be a season ticket holder and would be hard pressed to goto more than 10 games a year with this current "team". Front office has been a joke for 6 years and have been a joke so far this year as well.
  17. Yes Sano will give us better results at 3rd then Plouffe...but now we have a ton of question marks at DH. Park was a disaster, Vargas has a 103 career OPS+ Not good.
  18. Ideally he can start out strong and the Twins can flip him, I just don't see it though, not with this current defense.
  19. I'd keep Sano, Buxton and Berrios and I would look to trade anyone else in order to acquire high upside pitching. Would have to be blown away to trade Kepler Would do all I could to trade: Rosario, Santana, Santiago, Kintzler, Escobar etc If Hughes "comes back" he's traded as well, if Gibson starts off decent, he's on the block. If Perkins comes back healthy, as much as he is my favorite player he should be moved as well. This team is a couple years away, there is zero reason to keep anyone at this point that won't contribute it 2019 and later.
  20. Ditto, but then again, why did we just waste a bunch of money and starts on Santiago? Who was terrible in Minnesota last year? It's like we continue this stupid cycle of over paying for mediocrity and being afraid of actually making a meaningful "splash"
  21. When it comes to current pitching, IMO without a doubt the Twins are the worst team in baseball when talking from a talent standpoint.
  22. I'm not sure how anyone can say the lineup will be fine. Sano and Dozier are the only two who have a very good chance to be above average at the dish. I was impressed with Kepler last year, but he only had a 98 OPS+, which is well below average for a corner OF. So those three I feel "ok" with The rest? Lots of question marks up and down the roster. I certainly don't think everyone knows it will be fine...
  23. Yeah, this excuse of "FA won't sign with losing teams" is a falsehood. Good players sign with bad teams all the time! Padres and Mariners have been doing it for years
  24. Yeah and it's not like the Twins had 5 good seasons before one disastrous season. Overall the Twins have been the WORST team in baseball the last 6 seasons, and that is not hyperbole, they are coming off their worst season in franchise history. I get the "let's wait and see what happens" "have patience" and "making moves just to make moves is a bad strategy", I get it. But after 6 years of the same excuses year in, year out and month in and month out? Let's maybe stop being so patient and thinking "the young kids will work out", and let's maybe start making a few meaningful moves once in a while? 6 years, worst team in baseball, the amount of "everything is fine, trust the process" that is going only is really surprising, any other real sporting market in America would not be OK with their team being the laughing stock of their sport for the last 6 years, and then continue to do the same old same old.
  25. 5+ years into the "rebuild" and we are happy that the team can win 75 games? Jeez.
