    Buxton Gordon, Stewart and the kid last year COULD be good as well, too early to tell though. Clear though that Revere, hicks, Parmelee, Gutierrez, Gibson, michael, wimmers were all massive misses. Jay is a miss so far as well since he is already going to the pen

    Yeah, god forbid we criticize a team that has exactly one good first round pick in the last 10 or so years, and a team that has been the worst team in baseball overall the last six years. Especially when most people at the time pointed out that drafting a college reliever that high was a very very very questionable decision.

    +1 I have also always found it weird that if a guy wasn't good enough to crack a college rotation...why on earth do people think he will be good enough to crack a major league rotation? I mean I guess it would only make sense if the guy was either a super super super late bloomer or on an all time great college team or something...

    Romero is a solid prospect, but there is no way he should be in the top 100 currently.

    It's dumb, the Twins continue to try this failed method time and time again, just like they did when they were obsessed with drafting undersized, zero pop hitters like revere 50 picks too early.

    This team is gonna be terrible this year and likely next, why exactly do we need to rush Jay to the majors to pitch out of the bullpen again? This org continues to appear to have absolutely no clue in what they are doing, and the results continue to show it.

    Funny thing is the guy picked one spot behind is now the #1 prospect in all of baseball.

    I for one am shocked that the Twins took the obvious wrong player in the first round at it backfired on them miserably. Revere, Hicks, Jay, Gibson, etc Worst front office in all of sports the last decade.

    Hard to blame the refs for the "fouls" Lynch was a straight up disappointment and lost all his composure for some of his absolutely ridiculous fouls. Pitino also showed poor composure as well.

    77 catches last two years, averaged 8 YPC last year. I mean nobody is going to mistake him for Levon Bell, but that is leaps and bounds better than what Asiata and Peterson put up. He's only on a one year deal and McKinnon isn't an every down back. They will more than likely draft a RB late and bring in another rookie or two to compete for carries as well, if they catch fire? Than it's easy enough to walk away from McKinnon or Murray. Murray signing keeps them from: -Overspending on a "meh" FA Rb -Going into the draft knowing they need to try to grab a RB in the first 3 rounds. At the end of the day its 3 million for one year if it doesn't work out, I don't see the downside at all to be honest. Also he just turned 27, he may have another solid year or two in him.

    This is very well said, I hope you Canadians don't suffer the same fate, I get the feeling that a lot of people aren't exactly overly impressed with Trudeau so far. He seems to be a great guy and everything but have heard that Candians aren't exactly the hugest fans of his so far ad his approval ratings have taken a hit. I just hope the idiot Canadians that exist (like they exist in every country) don't elect their version of Poutine Trump.

    As someone who has zero ties to the UofM it is always fun to watch the rubes get their hopes up every year for UofM bball and football. It's like Minnesota fans never learn (I certainly haven't) that their teams will ALWAYS let them down and disappoint. In the rare instances they actually over achieve they inevitably blow it in epic fashion in the playoffs, bowl game or tournament.

    Yeah there is something seriously messed up when a 12 seed is a 2 point favorite over a 5 seed. In reality Minnesota was prob closer to a 8 seed currently, and MTSU was closer to a 5-6 seed.

    Haven't seen a Pitino get finished this quickly since Karen Sypher.

    Murray is the exact kind of RB they should be going after. Low risk, "medium" reward. Can actually CATCH a ball and PASS block, something AP never cared to learn, and he costs about 18 mil less a year as well.

    Crazy idea: I think the Twins should stop giving important roster spots to veterans with zero upside. Breslow is fine, Volgosong? Gimme a break Oh well, at least we can look forward to the top 3 pick in the 2018 draft!

    I fear it's gonna be one and done for the Gophers, in fact Vegas has MTSU as a pick em game.

    4.40 carer era 95 career era+ Even a 4.24 era over the last 7 years isn't good. That's #5 type production. I mean I like Hughes and hope he can have the kind of season he did a couple years ago, but I'm not holding my breath, esp coming off significant arm issues.
