  1. These spending limits are ridiculous, they need to just hurry up and do an international draft.
  2. Twins win 12-2. Sano with 2 HR. Dozier with one. Mauer 3 hits. Book it.
  3. Sadly this game was over after the first inning, this offense wasn't going to score 4 runs all game regardless. Meyer looks like a mess.
  4. I don't think they would send him all the way to AAA, I think he could be a nice asset in the pen. May seems to have trouble going deep into games anyways: 50% of his starts have gone less than 6 IP, and he has only gone 7IP in 14% of his starts. Now May is still young and all, but if he is going to "make it" as a starter in the league he is going to have to figure out how to be more consistent and give you more innings.
  5. Why on earth does a team need 8 bullpen arms? Espeically when half of them are guys you don't want to pitch in big spots anyways: Meyer, Graham, Duensing, etc 7 is the absolute max a team should have.
  6. Hicks and Robinson could be on the roster at the same time until Buxton returns and it would be fine. There is any number of pitchers in the pen who could be sent down, or cut (Duensing)
  7. Twins: 1.Dozier 2B 2. Hunter RF 3. Mauer 1B 4. Plouffe 3B 5. Rosario CF 6. Suzuki C 7. (sigh) Escobar LF 8. Pelfrey P 9. Santana What an embarrassing 2nd half of the order, hopefully the first 5 can get it done for us tonight.
  8. Nolasco has done nothing to earn a rotation spot if and when he comes back. If these guys are all pitching like they are and healthy no way do any get put in the pen in favor of nolasco
  9. he albsolutely dominates Lefties, he posted a link in the other thread to an article on it
  10. The good news tonight is that the Twins typically OWN Danks, so I am guessing a 12-2 win by the Twins or a 2-1 loss.
  11. I would rather seem him learn and flail away then watch a couple of guys who aren't anything more then UTIL INF on a good team take his DH at bats.
  12. I might lose it if Nunez or Escobar is at DH with freaking Vargas on the bench.
  13. The playoffs are a crapshoot, if you are good enough to make the playoffs, you are good enough to win a couple best of 5 and 7 game series.
  14. I mentioned in a couple other threads: I would trade Gibson, he is the one who can actually bring you some solid value back in return like C or SS help. Gibson+Arcia+A couple prospects for Tulo?
  15. Say what you want about his struggles, but his hits (and more specifically his HRs) seem to come when the Twins need them the most. His HR yesterday may end up being the most important at bat of the season for the Twins if they make the playoffs. The Twins were in a massive slide and about to drop 3 of 4 extremely well pitched games against the Cardinals, it was 1-0 in the 8th inning with 2 outs. That HR may have very well saved the season for this club.
  16. He will be fine. The whole team sans dozier is hitting like dog doo doo lately.
  17. I personally think the leadership is overblown, and I'm not sure he would make the greatest coach regardless.
  18. Hunter (like most of the Twins) is struggling as of late (.567 OPS in June), lets see how he bounces back before we even consider bringing him back, I wouldn't extend him prior to the end of the season regardless however. The reality is he will still be a 40 year old RF heading into 2016, if he ends up pricing himself out of the equation for the Twins in 2016 it's not a huge deal since they have an abundance of potential in house candidates and if those don't pan out finding a veteran corner OF to come on for a 1 year deal is the easiest thing to find on the free agent market. Well, besides AAAA type SP
  19. The Twins are over due for a big offensive game, I think Buxton shines tonight and the Twins follow suit.
  20. You are being extremely dissmissive and ignoring people's posts that specifically point out statistics (which aren't hyperbolic at all btw) You are certainly entitled to your opinion of top 2B, but you shouldn't dismiss everyone else's well thought out posts as "people who only watch the twins and are homers"
