    I don't think Pino deserves to get optioned, he has been pitching pretty solid overall in the rotation and IMHO deserves to hold down a back of the rotation spot until he deserves to lose it. Hopefully he can keep up a 4.00-4.30 ERA the rest of the way this year that allows the Twins to have another solid option for 2015 if they need. I'd much rather they toss Correia on waivers and get rid of him for a PTBNL even if they have to toss in some cash. I know Pino is a bit of a lightning rod around here, but it would be prudent for the Twins to figure out if he could stick as a cheap #5 for a couple years.

    Very excited to see May get the call! However we should all probably temper our expectations a bit, even if he does struggle it is a good thing to get him the innings for the 2015 on forward.

    Meyer didn't pitch himself into the rotation yet and Nick did a good job illustrating. It was his for the taking after the deadline (keeping Correia didn't help either).

    see: His disastrous 2014 in the majors? I don't mind the Twins taking a little extra time with him in AA, no need to rush him for a third time IMO, additionally, since he has gone back to switch hitting, perhaps he has been working a lot with the AA hitting coach and still has a ways to go? Most importantly I think getting Hicks confidence might be the most important part of bringing him back, let him mash AA for a couple more weeks to get that. The fact he is now hitting both RHP and LHP at good clips is very very very encouraging.

    Schafer should get about 10-15 starts in CF to see what he has for the Twins, if he falls on his face you bring up Hicks, if he does well, then maybe you wait until Sept to bring Hicks back up IMO. I agree, Santana needs to be playing SS.

    I think Santana's future with the team is at SS personally. With the question marks in the OF, I would think the Twins will take a pretty hard run at Torii Hunter to hold down one of the corner OF spots, which I would be a big fan of. I guess they could always make a run at a Melky Cabrera type, but I am guessing they would have to give him 3-4 years. Hopefully Hunter would be willing to come back to Minnesota for a year or two.

    I think the Outfield sometime in June ends up being: Hicks-Buxton-Arcia, with the possibility of Hicks or Arcia being in AAA and having a veteran or a guy like Plouffe handling the other position. TBH Hicks-Buxton-Arcia would be a pretty awesome OF defense.

    I give it an A just because I didn't expect any of Willingham correia etc combined to bring back as much value as milone has himself. Also love the Suzuki signing. We can trade Willingham and correia for a PTBNL worst case scenario in Aug. Maybe we should hold onto dueling for another year as well....guy has been pretty lights out this year.

    As a fan of the Mariners (2nd fav team) I am not sure I like this deal for the M's or the Rays. Franklin has a ton of potential, and while I like Jackson he isn't some stud IMO. The Rays get back a pretty solid potential SS and a guy who is a meh back of the rotation pitcher. Seems really odd, especially with the Rays on a 20-4 run.

    Yeah, I think the Yankees are still a prime potential spot for Willingham, I am guessing they were going after better players and couldn't bring em in.

    Meh, to be honest, pretty much every player that got moved today with the exception of the Fuld trade involved some really, really good players: Cabrera, Lackey, Price, Lester, Zobrist, Stephen Drew (ok not that good), etc

    Why would he suddenly start hitting .180? I get it, he is having a career year, but it's not all based on luck, he is on pace for 35 doubles this year, doubles aren't the result of luck.

    I would go 3 years if the AAV isn't bad. 3/18 I would be ok with, I'd also be ok with 2/14 or 2/15. 3/24? Pass.

    no it wouldn't, it would be several levels of ineptitude. The Twins literally have zero use for a guy like Fuld the rest of the year. They would be better served trading Willingham for a PTBNL
