  1. There is like zero chance Sano is traded, fans would burn Target field to the ground.
  2. .820 OPS away from Coors is still amazing for a SS.
  3. 016 31 Colorado Rockies $20,000,000 2017 32 Colorado Rockies $20,000,000 2018 33 Colorado Rockies $20,000,000 2019 34 Colorado Rockies $20,000,000 2020 35 Colorado Rockies $14,000,000 2021 36 Colorado Rockies *$15,000,000 $15M Team Option, $4M Buyout
  4. I don't think they can trade Gibson in the middle of a playoff race, I would give up Berrios +Polanco+Vargas+Nolasco for Tulo. Or May+Polanco+Kepler+Nolasco for Tulo The idea is you toss in Nolasco and don't have to ask the Rockies for money back.
  5. Meh, what are the Twins supposed to do, trash the guy? By all accounts Kurt has been a great teammate for the team and for whatever its worth the pitching has been pretty solid this year with him behind the dish. The twins usually keep trade talks/rumors etc close to the vest anyways. I still think AJ would be the perfect fit since he wouldn't cost much and could be a 50/50 split with Suzuki.
  6. Yeah, I just wonder if the Twins could package them someone like a power bat like Vargas (1st base/DH), Meyer (another disappointing high prospect), Suzuki (to at least cover C for the rest of this year for them) and a bullpen prospect in return for Zunino. Probably unlikely, just spit-balling, Zunino seems like a perfect change of scenery candidate, maybe Mauer and co could teach him a few things and get his average above the mendoza line.
  7. I can't see them trading Sanchez as he is the only real prospect they have left. He also is only 22, so any struggles shouldn't be a warning flag IMO. I wonder if the Mariners wouldever consider trading Zunino?
  8. Kepler is the guy I would be dangling in trade talks. His value is high currently and the Twins likely wouldn't miss him too terribly.
  9. but then you suddenly have a huge issue in the OF, either you play Robinson who is garbage at the plate, or you play Arcia in LF with Hunter in RF and Rosario who is average at best in CF, recipe for disaster during a run for the playoffs IMO. If buxton was proven ready or something it would be a different story.
  10. "Brian Buscher is gonna be a perennial all star, these bust comments are gonna look silly in a few years"- Nick
  11. Neither of those things should happen until the off season though, agreed? Or if the Twins suddenly lose the next 8 games or something.
  12. That's pretty much what the Twins are most other teams do , the reality is it's really really hard to stick at CF, SS or C when moving up the org ranks.
  13. I don't think Nunez is a good player, but I don't understand why you even have him on the roster if you continually refuse to use his as a PH for Suzuki or Santana. Nunez isn't good in the field, so if he isn't good enough to use as a PH there really is no reason for him to be wasting a spot on the major league roster.
  14. Agreed, I think you can just go get a rental type like AJ now for catcher and then step back and address the problem long term during the off-season.
  15. They still have Wil Myers and Matt Kemp under contract/control for another 4 seasons. I don't think Arcia is an upgrade over either one (especially Myers) and I don't see how the Padres would be able to trade Kemp and his contract anyways.
  16. Where would the Padres play Arcia? Don't they already have like 65 corner OF types? Many of which who are owed a good chunk of change?
  17. Jake Reed is a long ways from being any sort of major league player, much less a "lights out set up guy", he is getting shelled in AA and his stats are significantly down across the board. If Tonkin is going to get DFAed eventually anyways, why would the A's give up an asset for him?
  18. Come on, you are smarter then this. There is 0% chance of that trade happening, you are giving up Santana, who has plenty of questions on whether he will ever be a ML regular, Tonkin, who has done zilch in his numerous call ups to the big and Jake Reed, a relief pitcher (prospect) who probably doesn't crack the A's top 25 and is currently rocking a 5.87 ERA in AA this year. There is no reason for the A's to make that trade.
  19. Duensing has looked solid as of late, I wouldn't trust him in a 3-2 game in the 8th or prob even the 7th, but him keeping this up somehow would go a long ways in to help stabilizing the middle relief. With Rourke up and May in the pen, I am of the mind that getting a solid and reliable 8th inning guy like Benoit would make me feel pretty damn good about this pen.
  20. I thought for sure it was just an average SF, I will certainly take it though!
  21. Man, they have been battle their tails off at the plate this inning. Gray was clearly flustered after the Sano at bat and plouffe makes him pay!
