I will also say: it's really fun to see guys like Sano, Judge and Gallo all have strong years. All three have had the haters say: "Oh well they strike out to much to ever be effective" and all three guys are having very good years. Gallo= Adam Dunn Sano= Killebrew (please!!!) Judge= I have no idea who to compare him to potentially, never seen anyone like him.

Sano is the type of player who can take a 70 win team and make them an 81 win team. I'd argue that he has been the main (if not only) reason they have won 4 games already this year. The Twins don't need to make the playoffs even to have him be considered, just stick around "in the hunt" where they are at least playing some meaningful games in early-mid Sept. Trout (his main competition) isn't exactly on a great team this year anyways.

He literally can't be worse than some of our other options, that's for sure. And of course he can be so so so so so so so so so so so much better. He needs to be up NOW.

Not better results though. Santana: best ERA and best WHIp I'd obv rather have Sale (duh!), but the results have been there so far for Santana where you can't say Sale has been so much "better"

Yeah Santana has been amazing (and even more impressive leads the league in ERA since July 1st) I do think santana has a better chance to regress though (older, career numbers etc) but still even then? A solid #2 hopefully. I think though IMO: the odds of Sano winning MVP? 20% at this stage? Santana Cy Young? 1-2% Doesn't mean that Santana still hasn't been a sorely sorely needed stabilizing front end guy for the last 10 months. You never know though....keeps things fun for sure, and if both play at MVP and cy young level throughout the year? This team will remain in the "hunt" for a wild card spot most likely into sept at least.

Sano needs to be playing 155+ games (assuming healthy) I don't think he needs any days off really at this stage, maybe think about DHing him once a week against LHP (toss in Grossman for Rosario)

Eventually: Buxton Dozier Sano Kepler (or swap Dozier and Kepler) Give him a little protection at least.

Road trip I would say he was playing out of his mind But yes overall I think he can be a .950+ ops, 30-40 hr type guy yearly. Everything else is just extra gravy.

I say yes. Dude is absolutely playing out of his mind right now, I have never seen a player hit it as consistently hard as he does. His single earlier in the game might have been the hardest hit single I have ever seen.

Ah got it. Thought that was odd. Sano now takes the lead in the MVP race. Hicks trailing in 2nd now.

Not a good day for Hicks:1-5, but one of those were a sacrifice bunt (weird it still counted as an at bat) 1.042 OPS

Hodges was a great pick, boom or bust, but who cares, it's a 6th rounder.

It's still not a team that can win in the playoffs (for whatever reason) I tend to think they are just ONE goal scorer away to be honest. Watching Granny disappear and Nino not doing much was super disappointing.

Roster by and large is fine, it's the leadership and bizarre refusal to ever actually try to get a true goal scorer on the roster.

I like the fact that they have 3 4th rounders, there is a ton of solid value in this round IMO. I do love the fact that the Vikes have taken high upside guys with each pick: Cook- If you look at the on the field product: He honestly could have been considered the 2nd best RB in the draft. He has "concerns" but nowhere near what Mixon had. Jaleel Johnson-Slid down because of a bad combine. Who cares about the combine? He's a 315 pound DT, it's all about game tape with those types of guy. The center (name I forget) seemed very good as well.

Did I ever say anywhere about a complete overhaul of the roster? Anywhere? No, I said the roster basically has to stay the same. Thus you need to make the changes that can be made: Fletcher or Boudreau 5 straight years of this crap is not acceptable (unless of course you are Minnesota fan apparently)

I wouldn't count on it. ESPN's pains are from overpaying for MNF and NCAAFB. Baseball revenues will be fine, if some people start cutting the cord, mlb.tv subs will go up. MLB has been on top of this for a long time.

Best season in franchise history = first round exit in 5 games. I can't wait to relive the ten year anniversary of the season the Wild blew a huge divisional lead in March/April and then got spanked in 5 games to their former coach heading up a mediocre team. The window is going to be closing sooner rather then later on the Parise/Suter era, it's time to win. Now. 5 years, 2 playoff series wins, 5 playoff series losses. Have lost like 7 of last 8 home playoff games. I'd rather get an up and comer coach (said it when they fired Yeo as well) The problem is they can't change much of the roster, they are locked into some heavy contracts. Which is why I would fire Fletcher (get some fresh eyes on this roster) and would let Boudreau go as well (clearly the wrong leadership) and come on, maybe there is a reason why Boudreaus teams ALWAYS choke in the playoffs. It's a completely different game. The goal is to win championships, fletcher has proven he can't even get this club close to that. Boudreau has never been able to do that in his career as well.
