  1. shame on Molly and Terry for keeping him in the rotation this long.
  2. The easiest way to get Arcia or anyone else on the roster is to stop carrying 13 pitchers which is beyond overkill. Duensing isn't going to be back next year regardless and Rourke has stepped up as a LOOGY, so I don't see the hesitation in cutting bait. Boyer I would cut in a heartbeat as well, but I have a feeling TR views him as a cheap option for next year to. Nunez has no business being on this roster as well. He won't be on the team next year, he doesn't hit any more and doesn't field. Bring up Polanco and let him and Escobar share SS duties or call back up Santana to be the back up INF. Robinson shouldn't be on this roster either. Give Mauer an OF glove and start playing him in RF on the Hunter off days.
  3. They could have easily improved the team for a chance at the WC this year without effecting the chance to compete anytime in the next 2-4-6-8-10 years.
  4. I'm not sure he should be commended for getting them back on the edge of competitiveness after 4 very poor seasons, in fact I would say that getting them back on the edge of competitiveness after 4+ years is the absolute bare minimum of expectations for a GM
  5. Lot's of ass kicking type wins, lots of one/two run losses.
  6. Actually, I would take them at 4:1 and maybe even 3:1, the Angels are really falling apart lately, and other than Toronto the rest of the WC contenders aren't very scary.
  7. I would only take the Twins if the odds were 5:1 or better.
  8. I wish Hawk was able to retire a Twin.
  9. Yeah, he looks like a real answer for us moving forward, LOOGY and potentially even more. He can be what Duesnsing used to be.
  10. Stupid Canadian, this is all your fault!
  11. May hasn't gone back to back days. This actually seemed like a perfect opp for Jepsen, somewhat low leverage, a bunch of righties etc.
  12. So uh...time to get rid of Boyer, right?
  13. Against the Jay's lineup, I will take 3ER in 6IP all day.
  14. Didn't Price have like 87 pitches through 4 innings, now he is at only 104 and surely will be out for the 8th if not the 8th and 9th? When his pitch count is that high, you have to make it a priority that you get him out of the game after 6 innings.
  15. Bad news: I have to suffer through a Boyer appearance. Good news: Just received a pretty kick ass job offer for a better gig.
  16. It actually had a lot to do with what was the most important at bat in the game (Hicks up bases loaded 1 out and he was struck out on a pitch 4 inches outside the zone)
  17. Well, they kept it close longer then I though they would.
  18. The funny thing is, its mostly not even hobo urine. I'd say at least 80% of it is cabbie urine. Word of advice: if you ever see a a gatorade bottle that looks full or half full or anything laying in the street or sidewalk do NOT pick it up and throw it away. Just let it be.
  19. Price's pitch count was up and the twins are gonna let him get out of an inning with less than 10 pitches. That really shouldn't be happening.
