    One question: When you know opening day is the next day, what is the point on using any of your major league bullpen arms in the last exhibition game of the season? Especially when said game had a 60-80% chance of rain.

    We are fine, in his heart Brock knows he agrees 100% with me. He just has to remain neutral these days.

    Yeah, I still think starting him in the majors this year is a mistake. I would have liked to see him get some confidence in AAA for a few weeks at the very least. Could have signed Span, could have kept Hicks etc to provide OF/CF depth in meantime.

    To follow up, you can call this over-reacting all you want. I knew well before this appearance (as did most others) that Fien is not a good pitcher, he has a 3.81 career XFIP in the majors (3.72 as a Twin) and is past the point where he has any real upside. Giving that guy a bullpen spot, much less a key role in the bullpen on a "contending" team is a recipe for a disaster. This terrible 2/3rds of an inning is just further proof. 3.81 is pretty terrible for a RP btw. Ditto with putting Sano in RF

    Good point, it's a great thing these April games don't count as much as those August and September games. Good thing we wasted Tonkin yesterday in a meaningless spring training game, I mean pretty much everyone knew that it was likely that it was going to rain one of these three games in Baltimore. Overall though, I think the best thing that can happen to this team is that the mediocre guys like Nolasco, Fien flame out ASAP so the Twins can cut bait sooner rather than later.

    That's part of the issue. The Twins could have had an elite OF this year Rosario-Buxton-Hicks. Where they are the 10% that doesn't let that become a double ( I think the number is closer to 20% but great minds can differ) Instead we put Sano in RF where he is set up to fail, and we get a catcher back who isn't even playing on opening day.

    Fiend is not and has not been a good pitcher. Him getting shelled is just proof of this. Sano should not be in RF, this is just further proof of this.

    Hicks would have caught the Jones one, or would have come damn close.

    I'm not blaming Sano, but he never should have been moved to RF. The first "double" should have never been a double, and Jones double was played poorly.

    LOL Fien is so terrible. Glad he was the Twins "solution" to fixing the pen.

    Yeah I like Vancouver quite a bit....Victoria is just so...boring to me.

    Yeah I love Montreal, I am up there a couple days a month usually and have yet to have a bad time. Great people, great culture, great food and drink.

    Timing isn't there yet, they will be fine. I love seeing Sano swinging on 3-0 even if the results weren't good.

    One of these days I will upload the entire unhinged thread (not to Twinsdaily as in it it contains probably 20,000 "warning points" throughout) It had EVERYTHING, including some amazing youtube videos that were discovered/dug up. Threats of lawsuits, e-mails to the Twins PR staff, etc.
