    I regret a lot of the Twins past trades, but I do not miss Revere's noodle arm at all! Also (insert joke here about how the Twins need several more runs to make us feel good about the bullpen closing this one out) This would be a huge win, Gibson on the mound, Cleveland loss, two in a row, our ace(s) 1a and 1b on the mound Sat and Sunday? Just please please please don't mess it up!

    Bellinger and Urias were pretty much untouchable, the Dodgers were (justifiably) very high on both, and knew Bellinger in particular would contribute this season.

    Yeah Meyer, Hicks etc shows a real lack of patience with prospects/youngsters. It's bad enough when that happens, but on a rebuilding team? That is inexcusable.

    I have been praising Mejia! He has looked excellent his last few starts and looks to be a real solid back end piece for us. In fact as of today I would rank our rotation as: 1a. Ervin Santana 1b. Jose Berrios (gap) 3. Mejia 4. Santiago (gap) (gap) (power gap) 5.getting hit by a bus (gap) (gap) (gap) 6. The Twins current 5th starter options.

    I'm not in the mood to redig up all of this. But yes, I would like to point out that I wasn't the ONLY person reporting that the offer was quite a bit more than just JDL for Dozier. More importantly to the topic at hand, De Leon will be fine, I was never really high on his upside, but I also thought Berrios upsides was a #2, sometimes these guys surprise you as they continue to develop. De Leon looks like a safe bet to be a #3, and someone who could end up being even a little better. If the Twins fall out of the hunt, I think they would be wise to shop guys like Santana (if he is still pitching lights out) to get a package centered around a guy like Alvarez.

    Man, if he can keep this up (maybe not at this pace) but end the season above a .840 OPS, I think that almost guarantees his place in the hall of fame.

    Hicks is my favorite (non Twin) player in baseball (he also helped me cash $6,000 in a draftkings tournament a few weeks ago as well lol) I am excited to see him turning into a star. Was Meyer perfect last night? Of course not, but he held the Twins to one run in 6 innings. You bring up the fact the Twins didn't score with runners on the corners, but I think it shows that Meyer has the "grit" to stick in the majors and not melt down. I would take that from my 5th starter 7 days a week. I'd certainly prefer him over whoever we are tossing out as our 5th starter these days.

    Because there are 3 other time zones? As someone who travels to LA/SF every month for work and goes to a lot of games, it would be annoying to have to be at a game for an earlier than 7pm start time. I am on the east coast as well, I personally don't mind it, and actually enjoy these late games a bit more anyways. These are the ones (along with afternoon ones) that I am able to catch the most.

    lol good point. But in all seriousness I was offering out of the kindess of my heart (and getting tired of dealing with these stupid ass ads) The solution is super super super super simple. I have owned, operated and sold (nothing special but mid 6 figures) web based companies before, handled everything CMS, publishing, advertising, ad tech, ad ops wise with them as well, it's. literally. an. easy. ass. fix. Likely they are seeing a slightly better CPM by keeping the ads up (like 75 cent CPM instead of a 65 cent CPM) but they are losing short, medium and especially long term on the folks using ad blocker, and folks who just choose to not come back to the site (Traffic has been somewhat stagnant overall and honestly I think a significant reason is because of these stupid malware and auto play video ads) Again, I implore you...fix....the problem!

    Again, how anyone can defend anyone in the organization: Falvey, Molitor or ANY of the guys in the bullpen after that embarrassing 4 game stretch is beyond me. I'm not saying that everyone needs to go, or something like that. But all of the parties above deserve a big fat F for how they performed in those games.

    Hicks with a solid night: 4 for 5, 3 doubles, 2 runs and 6 RBI Average back up to .317 OPS back up to 1.016 I know even as recently as last week folks were like "lol lucky start, hes gonna revert to what he was etc etc" It's time for even those folks to Admit, Hicks is legit. His OPS trails Sano only by 12 points. He would look pretttttty pretttttty prreeeetttttyyy good hitting #2 in this lineup right now.
