  1. Lol Gophers. What a terrinle program, don't understand how you can keep the coach. They had a cupcake schedule this year and had zero big wins
  2. If the Twins wanted to get rid of Santiago they could have simply non tendered him.
  3. Puig wouldn't be the centerpiece of any deal, and likely the Dodger would pick up a few bucks anwyays I bet. With that said though, Puig would be a GREAT high upside/buy low candidate. Behind Buxton and Kepler the Twins OF depth over the next couple years is pretty weak anyways, Rosario took a step back last year and is still a ways away from being a reliable corner OF in the majors. Puig-Buxton-Kepler could be an elite OF if all hit their ceiling. I'd still want two high upside pitchers back in return though, for sure. No desire for a future 1B/DH type, those grow on trees...
  4. It makes no sense for those two to talk to Dozier, both have been on the job for less than a month pretty much, no? They need to be working 24/7 on how to improve the team. Dozier is under contact for the next couple years, so honestly, there is no reason for them to meet with him during this very busy time during early FA, GM meetings etc.
  5. Yeah, this is my feeling, 1 or even 2 year deal would be fine, 3? Would the pohlads allow us to move on from another deal if Castro continues to decline? I just hope this doesn't take the focus off the fact that they should be actively looking to get some legit catching prospects in the system as well.
  6. I guess time will tell. But as usual I will be proven right
  7. Ramos would have been a much better choice imo
  8. Now if only we could do the same with the seemingly 9 DH's we have... I'd just prefer we got someone better, that's all. I'd upgrade the bullpen next.
  9. I get that he is better defensively then Zuke, but the problem with the starting pitching is outside of Santana and Berrios there aren't really any guys who can be anything more than backend filler at this stage. Pitch framing doesn't help when dudes are hitting the cover off the ball against you. I just really don't like the 3 years aspect.
  10. Last 3 years: 1.6 EAR, 1.5 WAR, 1.1 WAR. Terrible K Rate, terrible CS% trending downwards. I wouldn't mind if this was a one year signing, but 3 years? Ugh, give those at bats to someone with an upside at least. Castro is not that.
  11. Twins fans were the one over hyping Berrios. His height alone limits his ceiling to a #2...which is fine and all, just not the savior many hoped for.
  12. They need to fix the catching no doubt, but they need to be aiming much higher than Jason Castro. Just like when it comes to pitching they need to acquire good arms instead of mediocre arms like Nolasco and Hughes.
  13. Stop Overpaying For Mediocre Players
  14. Nvidia keeps going up up up up Still time to hop on this train!
  15. Yes I have been on Nvidia for a couple years. It will keep going higher. Awesome day today though!
  16. Nvidia is doing well these days, I don't see that momentum stopping any time in the near future, it would be by far my number one pick. CannaGrow Hldgs is one I bought two years ago when it was at 25 cents a share, I really didn't pay any attention and only bought it because a friend in Colorado told me to, but suddenly about 2-3 weeks ago it shot up to $1.50 then $2.50 and then $3.00 Was able to sell off 25% of the shares around $2.80, not a bad ROI and a good time to move that money into less volatile stock. Does anyone do any bitcoin trading? I bought a decent chunk when it was around $450 about 6 months ago, and then doubled up at $550 today it's at $680, anyone have any ideas on how high it will go over the next 3-6 months? I think if it hits $800 I may sell 15-20% off.
  17. Yuuuuuup It goes all the way to the near top. Either management knew, or they were the most ignorant bozos on the planet. Either one should warrant firings.
  18. Prosecute the **** out of them. I don't care what their sales goals were and how crappy a company was they worked for, you can't steal Peoples Identities, social security numbers etc and commit fraud. Just because you work for a crap company doesn't give you immunity from being a felon. Leave the job and get a new one. Jesus. Also I find it epic right now that a Wells Fargo ad is running an inch below the "post" button here. I had a checking and savings account with Wells Fargo, I canceled it today and moved it to my chase account (until they get busted for this nonsense I will just use them and BoA) my banker here in the city for wells Fargo was begging me to stay with them, it was clear he knew that this was only the tip of the iceberg with this crap.
  19. Not stock market related, but you should all check out betterment.com My returns have been better on there then any traditional brokerage firm, and thy also have the lowest fees I have seen(0.15%, plus every time I refer someone I get 6 months free) Basically they have a tighter product/company then your troweprices etc of the world, and the results out pace them by a % or so as well.
  20. I'd like Alex, even if he fails I would love to have a GM who was actually aggressive and would make a run to "win it all" when it makes sense. The Bradford for a 1st round and 4th round pick may go down as a stupid trade, but I will be damned if I ever get too upset about it, Speilman is going for a super bowl win, and as a fan, I love it.
  21. I'd like to wager $500 on Parker winning said race. 8:7 odds sounds about right.
  22. That game last night was hilarious, Minnesota will be lucky to win 6 games
  23. Also by all accounts Barry Bonds has been a good influence in Miami, and McGwire in St Louis etc. Once A-Rod is officially 100% retired, I would take him 7 days a week as our hitting coach over the "home run or strike out" tendencies that Bruno is teaching.
  24. Yeah this year was rough for him, but last year he actually played pretty dang well.
