  1. Twitter is so lame, a bunch of people fire off fake reports/sources in hopes of being "the first" (which really doesn't mean much) Fake and false reports like we have seen today just prove it.
  2. 29th round pick, fireballer out of high school. The majority of those type of draft picks don't sign and end up in college anyways. Clearly it was the right move for Light.
  3. To be fair, a high price to the Twins in the past has been "A couple pitch to contact lefties and a veteran OF to "lead"
  4. That doesn't mean you have to trade him for nothing. Light has intrigue, but the Twins track record with hard throwing guys with control issues is TERRIBLE.
  5. Already 25 years old and no real track record of success in the minors. Meh.
  6. I would do Santana for Bundy in a freaking heartbeat.
  7. I would be all about it, I'm just not sure Abad could be enough to bring him back. You never know though, I was surprised how much we got back for Nunez for instance.
  8. I doubt the Astros do that. You never know though.
  9. Suzuki would be a significant upgrade for several teams in "contention" either as a starter, part time starter or a backup.
  10. Suzuki wouldn't clear waivers, Abad or Kintzler wouldn't as well. Santana would have some people claim him as well more than likely.
  11. I'd be upset if the Twins don't make any real moves today. I would be OK if they make one move. I would be happy/a little shocked if they make 2 or more trades today.
  12. Bundy would be at the top of my target list, but Baltimore really has no incentive to trade him. Especially for a guy like Santana IMO. I'd do it in a heartbeat if they made him available though, I just don't see it happening. That would be like the Twins selling low on Buxton. The O's already traded for a pitcher on a long term deal (Wade Miley) anyways.
  13. Perception is reality, if he is only getting 80 games behind the dish it's going to effect his value moving forward IMO.
  14. They also got a good amount of value from Nunez during his playing time here, they were able to then trade him at near peak value.
  15. Kintzler is far from a "proven" closer, so his trade value at this point is minimal. Hold onto him, hope he keeps this up for the rest of this year and next year and then trade him if you don't contend next year. id rather keep him for 2017 then have them Overspend on the FA market for a "proven" closer. Maybe the next GM will be different, but the Twins have always put the closer role on a pretty high pedestal.
  16. Or they believe in getting one of the most dominating pitchers this game has seen in a very long time...
  17. You should take your money and put it in the statfreak 1 on 1 baseball camp, I hear they are prime for a large expansion nationwide soon!
  18. That's basically the same argument as: Well X would be better than Sidney Ponson
  19. Santana is an overpaid #3, Gibson is a #4 who isn't that young any more. Those are the exact guys you need to be trading.
  20. The Twins should hire the new GM ASAP. (Ng!!!!) That would allow whoever it is to spend the rest of 2016 to get caught up to speed with the current roster, farm system and personal. That way, by the time the off-season comes around he or she will be 100% fully up to speed. The only thing is: I wouldn't want the new GM to handle the trade deadline for obvious reasons, ditto with any major cuts/pick ups the rest of the season, which is why you keep Antony around for the rest of the year. (He to will land on his feet somewhere)
  21. Honestly, its about time. Better late than never, Ryan clearly never should have come back the first time. Unfortunately these disastrous last 5 seasons have tarnished an otherwise solid career as a GM. I suspect Ryan will be fine though, while he may not get another GM role, I am guessing there would be plenty of other positions offered to him (if he even wants to work) Anyways, this is some of the best organizational news to happen in a very, very long time. Hopefully they clean house completely when it's all said and done and bring in a new regime.
