    Yeah the bunting sucks, but the Twins have scored the 3rd most runs in baseball, he must be doing something right, right?

    My problem is: Molly has done his job and has earned an extension, if he's not extended its clear that the new FO had zero and I mean zero intention in retaining him, if that's the case, why on earth did they let him manage at all this year? Dumb.

    I'm not a huge Molly fan, but he most certainly deserves another year. The front office did NOTHING of note to actually improve this team, and while he has had his share of mistakes, he has been the manager for one of the best turnarounds in league history. He definitely deserves at least one more year. Firing him after this season would be cowardice and a waste of a season to begin with.

    Mejia can't get out of the 5th. At least Colon can eat innings. (No pun) Also as mentioned he seems to be loved on the bench, I think he helps calm the team. They seem to have a lot more comeback wins then they did previously Mejia could be a good long guy out of the pen in the playoffs IMO.

    I apologize in advance: I have been to all of these Twins vs Yankees playoff games, and they have lost them all, will be at this one as well

    I dig the optimism, but that also assumes no regression. We learned last year that regression is a fickle mistress. I think we need at least two more "good" SP and another couple arms in the pen.

    I'd keep Colon as the 4th starter. I think he is also a calming influence on the bench for the team, im usually not a rah rah type guy, but it's not like mejia is much better. Colon seems to be loved on the bench though. Colon as a 4th starter with a very short leash. In fact, I would prob have Mejia replace Duffey as well.

    Could have also had him back at the deadline for next to nothing!! Even if you think castro is the bees knees you have to know Suzuki would have been a great late inning Ph for him and platoon guy at worst!

    The game I was at he had 3, not sure if they were "counted" as passed balls, but he definitely should have had all 3. Giving him a 3 year contract was so dumb. Unless they realize he is a backup.

    You know who else was atrocious...against everyone? Buxton. Letting him work his way out of the funk worked, ditto with Kepler! Young guys need at bats. Especially if your front office isn't "all in" on the season to begin with and wants to get the young core experience. It's not like they have some great platoon partner for him to begin with.

    At least non elite LHP. This kid is as raw as they come! The only way he is gonna improve against LHP is actually facing them! Been pretty sharp the last few games.

    Injuries happen, no doubt. I meant more along the lines of the Twins org being un able to accurately diagnose and then let the team/fans etc know realistically when they will be back.

    None of this is surprising, I remember at the time when he got injured many pointed out that it was likely a season ender. Of course the Twins have a terrible recent history of actually diagnosing injuries, so there was hope he would be back.

    3.3 WAR in 82 games, (6.6 WAR over the course of a full season) .830 OPS 13 HR etc He should be back for the Yankees playoff run.

    Haven't the Twins already announced it was Santana? Which is the no brainer choice.

    I'd offer him 2/25 or 2/28 as an extension. That gets him to 38. They aren't going to find a better 1B in the mean time IMO.
