Who wouldn’t want that guy in their organization? He checks every box as soon as he can dial his swing. He could definitely push Lee off 3rd or anchor the OF with Jenkins for a decade.

At 19 years, 334 days old, Tait still has time to induce doubt within the organization. With the way it slow rolls almost every prospect, expect to not see Tait in St. Paul until Aug/Sept ‘28 at the very earliest. The kids on a heater, let him shine! At some point, he will look sub human and every doom and gloomer on this site will throw him overboard. Its fairly entertaining reading/watching the whiplash commentary on TD.

He needed to fix his set up and swing. If he can keep producing at the mlb level, someone will want him but probably won't pay much until he has a larger sample size. The offseason may get a good return for him. He just needs a different team so he can be our next Rooker to leave and be an allstar. The kids behind him have a much higher ceiling!

Bring Wallner up and then trade him…. also, Houston is out performing his A+ league numbers in AA. He should be moved to AAA next month when KC gets a call to MLB.

How the Red Sox Changed Everything for the Twins
Fatbat replied to Matthew Taylor's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
Its a long way to October. Don’t pencil the bosox into a playoff spot yet… -
I agree! Nice article that gets deep into several subjects. I believe a lot of diehard TD’rs have whiplash from last year's selloff and for good reason. The team was so close to being really good and then were a dumpster fire within a few days. The trade returns were good, younger and possibly better long term. The high minors are stacked with talent that “should” become mlb regulars. I understand why the “ trade everyone “ mentality is real. I would prefer the GM to put a winning team on the field every season but baseball is broken. With the pending CBA dispute, will any team want to trade away top 100 prospects? The market may just dry up for any large trades.

Twins Daily's Top-20 Prospects Gets a Post-Draft Shakeup
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Jenkins, Lackey, KC in any particular order right now seems fair. Lackey is the only one of the 3 that will be in the list a year from now and that may be short lived.- 66 replies

It would seem that lots of players are untouchable up until a great offer comes along. The current team development would suggest they are building to be competitive long term starting in 27/28. We need to load up on pitching and be prudent in trading off assets when the best return is available. The current squad is a little exciting but underwhelming for the most part. Its time to build for the future!

Could the Twins Surprise Everyone at the Trade Deadline?
Fatbat replied to Sam Caulder's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
The organization needs to commit one way or the other. Either they want a long term competitive team (which means not selling prospects) or they sell prospects for a shorter competitive window. Our window isn’t even open now except for the tunnel vision of a horrible American League full of non competitive teams just like us. Yeah, let’s sell the future to be the best of the worst in ‘26. -
@LyleCole The Twins have the prospect assets to field a long time competitive team as soon as next season. It may be the best long term strategy to sell Jeffery, Ryan, Bell and Larnach to go even younger and deeper. No idea what Zoll has cooking and what budget constraints he has to work with so it is a wait and see. It would not be a huge surprise to see the organization hoard more prospects and go thru another no post season now and look for a fresh start under the new collective bargaining agreement.

As much as anyone, I want a deep playoff run but this is not the season for it. Bring up the kids and live thru the ups and downs. If they catch fire like Evan Carter did a few years back, we will still have an entertaining post season and it wont cost us a dime of prospect capital. Sell something to get more pitching depth but don’t give away future assets.

Agreed! As long as the right guys are making the right decisions, the organization can/will flourish! The past few drafts have been very good and hiring Shelty seems like it’s working. Hopefully player development takes a leap and gets these kids to shine in MLB!

Selling Ryan this offseason or Lopez a year from now will bring the $ 140M down alot! 2 years out 7/28, I would expect both Ryan and Lopez will be gone but I sure hope they are still here!

T. Pohlad just talked to the press about the team strategy on building upon this years mediocre success and future plans. He isn’t coaching up players but he is definitely working with Zoll on a daily basis on the business of player acquisition and organizational structure. T.Pohlad is not considered a hands off owner.

This definitely reminds me of the waves of talent in the mid 80s. The past 4-5 drafts have gotten top tier talent into the pipeline. IF most of these guys stick in MLB, we will compete in a money ball scenario. Like LK, we can root for Lackey to be on the fast track to MLB. The depth in MiLB has its own depth n Mendez, Winokur, Tinney, Diaw and others. What we need is for ownership to not mess up the future!

He is so athletic and strong. I believe he is the type that will work relentlessly to he the best as he grows into his body and craft. He gets a call up in 2028. Book it. -
Brandon Winokur Made It to Double-A. What's Next?
Fatbat replied to Cody Christie's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
He is 21 yo. Half way thru his 3rd full professional season. He has plenty of time to become an extremely valuable big league player. His body is still filling out and his experience is still “a small sample size”. He may not be on Varsity until 2028 but that wont stop him from having a career that lasts until 2040 or so….
