  7. It' all about the money and the Twins are cheap.
  8. No.1 signing Greinke to a 6 year deal, the only 20 game winner option out there. Why sign a 500 or less pitcher, it does not help theTwins future at all. Then build around your ace. Trading doesn't help, you just give up more than you get back and sets the team back farther.
  9. Alexi is another Hardy.
  10. Haren is a free agent and not traded, get in touch.
  11. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Blue Jays are interested in impending free agent Scott Baker. The Twins declined Baker's $9.25 million option for 2013 but are interested in bringing the right-hander back. They'll clearly have competition, though, as Morosi says the Red Sox, Cubs and Rangers all have varying degrees of interest in the righty. Baker missed all of 2012 while recovering from Tommy John surgery but should be ready to go early next season. The Blue Jays will also keep tabs on Zack Greinke, Anibal Sanchez, Kyle Lohse and Ryan Dempster, among others, as they attempt to upgrade their rotation. 12. Ya, Redmond is smarter than the Twins.
  13. You can't trade with yourself.
  14. The Marlins have hired Mike Redmond as manager. Ozzie Guillen's replacement will get a three-year deal. Tigers hitting coach Lloyd McClendon, Reds pitching coach Bryan Price and MLB Network analyst Larry Bowa also interviewed for the gig, but Redmond reportedly blew the competition away during his interview. The 41-year-old former catcher retired from baseball in 2010 and has since gained managerial experience in High-A ball. Source: Jon Heyman on Twitter

  16. Sometimes you have to overpay if you want to win. Kc just got alot better.
  17. If you have to lie make it beleveable.
  18. if the Twins don't sign Greinke they will be in last place for the next 3 years.
  19. From 12m to 5m I don t think so.
  20. Nick Blackburn underwent arthroscopic surgery on October 25 to remove a bone chip from his right elbow. It was a relatively minor procedure, and Blackburn is expected to be 100 percent for spring training. The veteran right-hander will be a non-roster invitee and must impress next spring to earn a spot in the Opening Day rotation. He posted an ugly 7.39 ERA and 1.71 WHIP over 19 starts this season. 21. According to Yoo Jee-Ho of Yonhap News, Ryu Hyun-Jin is preparing to sign with a major league team. Hyun-Jin has already hired super agent Scott Boras and should be made available via a kind of silent auction at some point this winter. The 25-year-old left-hander boasts a well-developed four-pitch arsenal and has led the KBO in strikeouts five different times. He's been drawing attention from MLB scouts since leading South Korea to the gold medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Source: Yonhap News
  22. Twins declined RHP Scott Baker's $9.25 million option for 2013. It's no surprise, as Baker missed the entire season recovering from Tommy John surgery. The Minneapolis Star Tribune confirms that the Twins haven't ruled out re-signing Baker on an incentive-laden, one-year deal. Source: Joe Christensen on Twitter
  23. Bakert could be done!
