  1. Funny no one mention Bonifacio one of the best ut and fastest players in mlb.
  2. The future is now! Not in 2015 or the year 2525.
  3. Yunel is not that good that you have to put up with his crap.
  4. The trade is over, we lost out on that one, so forget about it.
  5. The Marlins can't compete with the Nats & Braves so they cash in. They will still probably beat the Mets. t
  6. Where do you get 50M from? Marlins clearly states it dump 40M plus they throw in 4M so now you are down to 36M.

  8. That trade help both teams. The Marlins don't look that bad and have lots of money to build with. Those 5 players just made the Jays great. Those 5 players would have made the Twins great too. For maybe Carroll, Dozier,Butera, Benson,Blackburn, Swarzak ect.
  9. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com hears that Ricky Nolasco could be the next Marlin traded. The Marlins are already poised to dump $40 million in salary for 2013 on the Blue Jays, and if they can find someone to take on Nolasco's contract, it would make sense to go ahead and continue the firesale. The right-hander is due $11.5 million in 2013 after posting a 4.48 ERA and 125/47 K/BB ratio over 191 innings in 2012. Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter
  10. Johnson will make $13.75 million in 2013 before hitting free agency, while Buehrle is set to earn $48 million over the next three seasons. Related: Blue Jays, Mark Buehrle Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter
  11. Twins want to know where was T. Ryan on this deal?
  12. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Blue Jays have acquired Jose Reyes, Josh Johnson, Mark Buerhle, Emilio Bonifacio and John Buck from the Marlins in exchange for Yunel Escobar, Adeiny Hechavarria, Henderson Alvarez, Jake Marisnick and Justin Nicolino. Wow. Rosenthal says that there could be even more players involved in the deal, as well. It's obviously a massive deal for a variety of reasons. The Blue Jays are adding a ton of talent and also a ton of payroll, though it's not clear how much, if any, money is changing hands. Meanwhile, the Marlins are having yet another firesale, this time just a year after finally getting their new stadium. Related: Blue Jays Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter
  13. A all out lie is serious, and it ruins the creditability of this site.
  14. Cubs signed RHP Scott Baker to a one-year, $5.5 million contract. Patrick Mooney of CSNChicago.com passed along the contract details and adds that Baker could make an additional $1.5 million with incentives. It's a nice buy-low opportunity for Theo Epstein and company, as Baker is coming off Tommy John surgery and has enjoyed success in the past. The 31-year-old right-hander should be ready around the early part of the 2013 season if he can avoid setbacks. He could be an excellent trade chip for the Cubbies if he bounces back.
  15. Money is the only reason they add teams, and you can't play baseball on paper, The hot team wins. a slump, a mistake and you are out. The best team does not always win. It is the team that plays there last game the best that wins.
  16. Danny Knobler of CBSSports.com reports that the Tigers and Rangers are interested in Torii Hunter. Knobler says the Tigers are "very interested" and view Hunter as "almost a perfect fit in their lineup, in the field and also in the clubhouse." Hunter expects to sign with someone quickly and says his only concern is winning a World Series. Detroit and Texas are certainly fits in that regard. The Braves, Phillies and Red Sox also have interest, while the Yankees and Dodgers are seen as less likely destinations for the 37-year-old outfielder
  17. Record doesn't matter once you are in the playoffs. It's a new season. Anything can happen in a short series and usually does.
  18. We can not wait, we have to pay the price for a top 5 FA pitcher now, or the team will be shot for the next 3 years.
  19. Span for Asdrubal then sign Josh Hamilton, to hell with pitching.
  20. Danny Hultzen will be great!
  21. According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, the Athletics and Diamondbacks are "at least mildly intrigued" by Hiroyuki Nakajima. The Yankees won negotiating rights for Nakajima last winter with a $2 million bid, but they ultimately were unable to sign him. The 30-year-old is going to try to come over to the states again this offseason. He's won two Gold Gloves while batting .312 with an .867 OPS during the past five years.
  22. Twins fans are giving up pretty fast.
  23. Asdrubal would be great! but you would have to sell the farm.
