  1. Prospects are prospects and notting more, only a very few will ever make it, and who's to know who they wil ever be.
  2. Bye bye paper Tigers!
  3. It will cost alot.
  4. Giants sweep!
  5. Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports that Mike Redmond "hit it out of the park" during his interview for the Marlins' managerial vacancy Wednesday. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Brewers are "seriously considering a run" at impending free agent Josh Hamilton.
  6. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports that the Giants moving Tim Lincecum to the bullpen next year has a better chance of happening than them trading him. Heyman says Lincecum's "unreal popularity" in San Francisco, as well as his $22 million salary for 2013, are reasons why he almost surely will not be traded. The plan for now, according to Heyman, is for Lincecum to be back in the rotation next year "with a couple adjustments to his mechanics and offseason routine." However, some people with the Giants think he's "more equipped for the pen at the moment" because he's "in shape for shorter bursts and perhaps not the longer hauls required to start." The Giants are pretty well set up in their bullpen, especially if Brian Wilson can come back strong from Tommy John surgery. It would be surprising if Lincecum isn't part of the 2013 rotation. 7. According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, the Marlins have received permission from the Blue Jays to interview Mike Redmond for their managerial vacancy. Redmond, who played with the Marlins from 1998-2004, is currently the manager with Class-A Dunedin. Joe Frisaro of MLB.com has called him "a strong frontrunner" for the job, but Dodgers third base coach Tim Wallach and Reds pitching coach Bryan Price are also in the mix. Other candidates could still emerge in the days ahead. Source: CBSSports.com
  8. Marcum will not save the Twins, he is nottin more than what we got.
  9. Zack Grienke, a true #1 SP for years to come who is only 28. He will only make the rest of the young sp better. If Clev or KC would sign him they would be on top too. Rally the fans and go for it now we got the money, tired of losing. Go Twins!
  10. Why not just sign Greinke and go for it now? I'm tired of this losing. We are going to need a #1 SP for the next 4 years anyways. We got the money, We can make trades and get younger later. Rally the fans and go for it, Baltimore and Oakland can do it,so can we. All it would take is a hot start in April. Go Twins!
  11. All pitchers are affordable.
  12. Delmon Young launched a solo homer in Tuesday's win over the Yankees. He got the scoring started in the fourth with blast into the left-field bullpen before Miguel Cabrera plated what turned out to be the winning run with an RBI double in the fifth. Young also had a longball in Game 1, driving in three runs in that contest. He now has seven homers in two postseasons for the Tigers, which is a franchise record.

  14. Derek Jeter has been diagnosed with a fractured ankle and will miss the remainder of the postseason. It's a staggering blow for the Yankees' captain, who suffered the fracture in the 12th inning of Saturday's ALCS Game 1 loss to the Tigers. It's estimated that he'll need three months of recovery time. The Yankees will likely add Eduardo Nunez to the roster to provide infield depth. They'll roll with either Nunez or Jayson Nix at shortstop for the remainder of the playoffs.
  15. Delmon Young hit an RBI double to break a 4-4 tie in the 12th inning of Game 1 of the ALCS on Saturday, helping the Tigers to a 6-4 victory over the Yankees. The double in the 12th was hammered at Nick Swisher in right field, but he played it awkwardly and was unable to make the grab. Young blooped a one-out RBI single to right in the sixth inning, increasing the Tigers’ advantage to 2-0, and led off the eighth with a solo blast off Derek Lowe. Despite being acquired just last season, the homer was Young’s sixth in the postseason as a member of the Tigers, setting the all-time franchise record.
  16. I bet the Yanks will sign him to a 3 to 4 year deal.
  17. It's going to be a long winter of looking out the window waitin for spring.
  18. I think the Twins glass is full, but I wouldn't trade anyone. You lose more than you gain by trades. Twins lose by letting players walk too. I would go after 2 or 3 key free agents. One big name and maybe 2 key guys like last year. The fans would be happy and I think it would payoff huge for the Twins as well.

  20. Ryan doesn't speak the truth anyway so why even think that?
  21. He has always been a very poor second half pitcher, so if your are thinking playoff forget it. Angals won't have much left.
  22. Games are played on the field not on paper.
