  1. Gamble ya but you got to find someone better than this.
  2. So who needs Ben? Phillies, Reds, Braves?
  3. Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com hears that the Twins might consider trading Ben Revere. It would be a strange move, given that they just cleared room in center field for Revere by dealing Denard Span. Even more bizarre is that Morosi says they would be looking for a center fielder in return. Revere has zero power but batted .294 with 40 steals in 2012 and also offers great defense. He's under team control through 2017. Source: Jon Paul Morosi on Twitter
  4. I won't touch him with a 10 foot pole!
  5. Get your petitions and picket signs ready. It about time to protest. It's been done before in baseball.
  6. I don't think you can overpay for a pitcher unless he gets TJ. In 4 years pitching prices will go up another 10m a season.
  7. Warroad is a boom town!
  8. We don't need no pitching, just let polhads have all the money and be happy watching the last place Twins for another 4 years.
  9. FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Nationals and Dan Haren have agreed to a one-year, $13 million contract, pending a physical. The physical isn't a slam dunk given recent concerns about his hip and back, but assuming he passes, he'll join a rotation which includes Stephen Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, Jordan Zimmermann and Ross Detwiler. It's a pretty good spot for Haren, who gets to pitch in the easier league and wouldn't be expected to be the carry the load for the rotation. The signing figures to take away one potential suitor for free agent right-hander Zack Greinke.
  10. Twins have got to pony up. or It all over for another two years.
  11. Everyone on here wants to save money, remember you don't get that money, the owner just puts it his pocket and laughs at you.
  12. Ryan Dempster is looking for a three-year deal, reports Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Brewers are highly interested in working out an agreement with the veteran right-handed starter, but they don't want to go beyond two years. Dempster has also drawn interest from the Red Sox, Royals and Angels so far this offseason. He registered a solid 3.38 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 153/52 K/BB ratio across 173 innings this past summer between the Cubs and Rangers. Related: Brewers Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
  13. According to CBS Sports' Jon Heyman, the Tigers offered Anibal Sanchez a four-year, $48 million contract. And it was quickly rejected by Sanchez and his agent, who called the proposal an "insult." Sanchez is thought to be seeking a six-year deal worth close to $90 million. The Red Sox, Blue Jays, Rangers and Dodgers are known to have interest, and the Tigers will presumably be back in the running if the asking price drops. Source: Jon Heyman on Twitter
  14. It's only December maybe we should wait till spring training before goin there.
  15. I agree. The top will set the price for the rest.
  16. Twin must not of wanted then or they could have been throw in on the Span deal.
  17. Angels got the best of that deal. A top of the line SP for nothin. A Twins fan should know what SP is worth.
  18. We wait tell the deadline. Crazy to do anything now.
  19. Grienke, Liriano & Myers. We need a true ace bad and for the young pitchers to fallow. Liriano and Myers can be moved to the pen when prospects get called up.
  20. I do not hate the Polhads, or Ryan or Gardy, but I do expect them to get us a very good major league starting pitcher. Maybe even two. I expect mlb pitchers on the field. I expect Gardy to run a tight ship. Not shovelin waiver wire falley in and out. You can't fool the fans, you lose the customer.
  21. Yes I do expect the Twins to win every year. I do not expect the money that we have freed up to go to line the owners pockets.when we get the extra 25M, Maybe let Justin go, then Winny, then Perk, then Mauer, the new ball park. I do not expect the Twins to be the Marlins. I did expect to get Alot more help than that for Span, But I can live with the Meyes trade. If we spend that money and put a better produce on the field this year and every year. I expect winning baseball, a mlb team every year.
  22. I say load up on one top tier FA every year. Then you got yourself a team.
  23. So when we throw in the towel, all we got left is prospects. Mighty team you got us to watch!
