  1. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Cubs have agreed to a deal with Carlos Villanueva.
  2. Garcia sucks so bad, that if Ryan signs him there is no hope for Twins fans what so ever.
  3. I think not. If Ryan had offer any contracts it would have been reported, not one has even been reported so it not hard to tell that he hasn't offer any.
  4. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Cubs have agreed to a deal with Carlos Villanueva. Terms of the deal are not yet known, but, assuming it's not too out of line, it's another sneaky addition to the rotation by the Cubs. Villanueva was shifted back and forth from starter to reliever the last two seasons by the Blue Jays, but he pitched really well out of the rotation in 2012 before a couple late-season blowups inflated his ERA. All told, he put up a 4.16 ERA and 112/46 K/BB ratio over 125 1/3 innings this past season. Related: Cubs Source: Jon Heyman on Twitte

  7. Mauer is one of the greatest Twins ever. Morneau and Willingham are nice to watch too. Even Plouffe put on a nice little show with Ben. The Twins are not all bad, but even Calvin was better than this front office. Gardy just doesn't have much to work with. Winning make me so happy, but so many bad days is sad.
  8. It's not only the SP, it's the offense, the speed, the runs,. the defense. We lost Denard, Ben and Alexi and haven't replace any of them. It's nice to have prospects, but prospects take time are not a reliable answer in the shot-term. I have fallow the Twins since 1961, every game and it's got to be the worst team ever.
  9. I wish I was! I don't see a Twins SP capable of winning 10 games. Marcum might be but we don't have him, and doubtful we ever will.
  10. Ryan is a cheapskate and a liar that is why Pohlad hire him. He can't give his money away the players know him. He is paid to fool the fans into thinking he can get something for nothing. When the fans are gone he will be gone too, but it will be to little to late for Pohlad to pony up. It is just sad to have to watch the Twins lose for another 2 years with no chance to win. Empty promises and lies, Just plain greed!
  11. Jim Bowden of ESPN and SiriusXM reports that Edwin Jackson is down to the Rangers and Cubs after the Padres refused to offer him four years and bowed out. The Angels and Indians had previously expressed interest in the right-hander, but they're evidently no longer players. The Rangers view Jackson as a backup plan after losing out on Zack Greinke, while the Cubs are looking at him as a backup plan after being outbid for Anibal Sanchez. Jackson shouldn't have trouble getting $50-plus million on a four-year contract. Related: Cubs, Padres, Rangers Source: Jim Bowden on Twitte
  12. If the Twins want a Blue Jay sign Villaneva would be the smart thing to do.
  13. Ryan isn't smart enough for that.
  14. Mortified, There a still better FA.
  15. Ryan hasn't done one thing to improve the team, he can't live in the dumpster all winter and hide from the team and lie to the fans.
  16. Ryan is a joke!
  17. Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports the Twins have signed Mike Pelfrey to a one-year, $4 million contract. Related: Twins Source: Jon Heyman on Twitte

  19. The Twins are only a couple of players away from winning the central this year. Go Twins!
  20. The Twins are only a couple of players away from winning the central. Go Twins!
  21. Joel Sherman of the New York Post confirms that the Mets and Blue Jays are nearing the completion of a seven-player trade involving knuckleballer R.A. Dickey. As currently constructed, the trade would send Dickey, Josh Thole and an unnamed (non-elite) prospect to the Blue Jays in exchange for Travis d'Arnaud, John Buck, Noah Syndergaard and an unnamed (non-elite) prospect. Nothing is expected to be finalized until Sunday, so the parameters of the swap could certainly change before then. 22. It was dumb, he was so done before they even sign him.
  23. Wow the Philly made a haul on that deal.
  24. Ya his arm has to heal up for a couple weeks first so he use a pen to sign with.
  25. It's not to late to sign Matt Capps to a 4 year deal.
