  1. It's about time to resign Capps!
  2. I think Acquisition means signing not watching. Big means top notch of the year.
  3. How about the big hole in the lineup? It's bad already after trading the top two, what are you going to do about that?
  4. . Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reports that the Indians, Mariners, Braves and Phillies have asked the Dodgers about Dee Gordon. Despite the interest, the Dodgers have told the clubs that they're uninterested in trading Gordon right now. Gordon has stolen 56 bases over 143 games with the Dodgers but has batted just .260/.299/.315 with 23 extra-base hits (one home run). L.A. is obviously banking on him eventually cashing in on his upside. Dec 7 - 2:41 PM Source: Jayson Stark on Twitter
  5. Sorry Riverbrian didn't mean to be rude. I'm just tired of hearing trade for old NL pitchers. Dee is good but they won't trade him. The Twins are in a sorry state and trading only makes it worse' I can't believe they can't buy one.
  6. Who know's about Worley, he could pull a Baker. Scott is about the only pitcher we got and who can say he will improve. It's a real sorry state we are in, but we can hope. It's early yet, maybe Ryan can still get us a pitcher or two. WE need a awful lot. No one can pitch 200 innings or even go 7. We can't wait forever It's time to sign them up. We can hope till the losing begins.
  7. I won't go that far as to say Correia is better. I think some of the young guys could improve alot. Who know's if Correia can even make the team?
  8. Maybe Ryan can play a Charlie Finley and sign Barry Bonds too. That should draw a crowd!
  9. Maybe you can fool people with Roger Clemens but not Brandon Webb.
  10. Fooled again & again & again & again, it never stops and yet we hope.
  11. I wouldn't trade Correia for both of them and if you can't judge talent better than that I think you should quit.
  12. The Twins are not rebuilding they are just tearing down. Why trade Justin? Don't the Twins have enough money yet? Don't you want a team at all this season? What is the point in having minor leaguers if you have no major leaguers? What is the point in having more money when you can not spend what you got? Why build target field if there is nothing to watch? Pretty sad for the people of Minnesota. It's a crime against it's own fans. What a shame!
  13. Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that the Padres are "strongly pursuing" Edwin Jackson. While the Pads appear to be big fans of E-Jax, he might ultimately be out of their price range. Rosenthal says the market for Jackson is "strong," and the Padres "may bow out" if the right-hander gets 4-5 years at $12-13 million per season. The Rangers, Brewers, Angels and Indians are also known to have interest in Jackson, though Texas and Milwaukee prefer him on a short-term deal. Related: Padres Source: Ken Rosenthal

  15. We got Carrol that's enough.
  16. I don't want to hear it. enough already.
  17. I would sign either but I would try trade them for prospects after two years.
  18. Nothin, if you can't sign good FA you have nothing to trade either.
  19. According to Buster Olney of ESPN.com, the Angels are telling teams that Mark Trumbo is not available. The Angels will probably have to get rid of someone in order to clear enough playing time in the outfield for Josh Hamilton, who agreed to a five-year, $125 million free agent contract on Thursday. But Trumbo has exceptional raw power and Anaheim doesn't want to lose that. Source: Buster Olney
  20. The Red Sox have signed Ryan Dempster to a two-year, $26.5 million deal, reports FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal. Related: Red Sox Source: Ken Rosenthal
  21. We got Carroll no need for Punto.

  23. OX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Angels have signed Josh Hamilton to a five-year contract. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman says the deal is worth a total of $125 million. The Halos weren't even mentioned as a potential suitor for Hamilton until a couple of hours ago, though that shouldn't surprise anyone given how last year's Albert Pujols negotiations went down. Anaheim has now landed the top position player on the free agent market two offseasons in a row. Hamilton, who turns 32 years old in May, slugged 43 home runs and tallied 128 RBI this summer for the division-rival Rangers. Related: Angels Source: Ken Rosenthal
  24. According to FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal, the Dodgers are likely to trade infielders Nick Punto and Juan Uribe. Skip Schumaker was acquired via trade from the Cardinals on Wednesday afternoon and is expected to share time at second base next year with Mark Ellis. That doesn't leave much room for Punto, who is also behind Hanley Ramirez, Dee Gordon and Justin Sellers on the depth chart at shortstop. Uribe, meanwhile, has posted a wretched .199/.262/.289 batting line over the past two seasons. The Dodgers might as well just cut him. Related: Juan Uribe Source: FOX Sports
  25. Carlos Villanueva has told Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulous that he still wants to start but would be more willing to compete for a rotation job with them. Villanueva said last month that he wanted any interested team to guarantee him 30 starts next season, which is something the Blue Jays wouldn't be able to do following their acquisition of Mark Buehrle and Josh Johnson. He could come to camp to compete with J.A. Happ for the final job in the rotation, but the reality is that he's likely to wind up elsewhere
