  1. Nishioka has got to be the worst. Herr nobody like even before he got on the field. I kind of like Davis but he did lay it in there.
  2. That's true! It is Ryan to blame. He can talk but can he walk?
  3. This WBC stuff does hurt alot of players.
  4. Nolasco is just not a go pitcher and it would take a top 5 prospect.
  5. Play fantasy baseball and you will learn alot about baseball. How to win, what players are good and who is not. Who to keep and who to trade.
  6. I'm a Twins fan, so I vote for Jack.
  7. You can't expect to get pitching for nothing.
  8. Ryan insisted that the Twins would pursue a "pretty darn good pitcher" in free agency. In a subsequent interview with MLB Network, he responded to a question from Ken Rosenthal about his apparent rebuilding approach by saying, "I think that's a good excuse to fail, Kenny. I don't have much interest in telling people we're playing for 2015. We need to get going here, we've had two tough years… We've got to quit talking about building for the future." Correia??
  9. Rose, Bonds and Clemens get it over with they belong more than anyone else, it's baseball!
  10. According to 1500 ESPN's Phil Mackey, the Twins are considering Rich Harden for their bullpen. The Twins would prefer to use Harden as a starter, but his role remains to be seen after missing the entire 2012 season due to shoulder surgery. "He has done both," GM Terry Ryan said. "And I would tell you starter if the health issue was not a part of this, but he's not been healthy. So we have to keep that option open." Source: ESPN 1500 Twin Cities
  11. Oh it could happen if Ryan wakes up and sign Marcum and a couple more. Then makes the greatest trades ever, Correia for Hardy and Blackburn for Sorriano and plays him at 2b. But it's goin to take a hell of a party, with some great stuff to, to have both Ryan and Pohlad to have that dream. Maybe he will fall down the stairs and hit his head!
  12. I'm sorry to say, the Twins are a joke. SAD!
  13. Maybe if the Twins trade Corriea to the Orioles and Blackburn to the Cubs, they could get Hardy or Peralta. or Soriano.
  14. I remember him and that game.. It was just to much for him.
  15. BORING! I would sign Marcum. Why even bother if you can't sign one good pitcher?
  16. It looks like a last place team to me. Over half those players won't even make it.
  17. Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports that Brandon Inge is "on the radar" of the Twins. The 35-year-old infielder hit .218/.275/.383 with 12 homers and 54 RBI in 83 games between the Tigers and Athletics in 2012 before shoulder surgery ended his season prematurely. He still plays above average defense and could be a solid addition to the Twins bench if healthy. Related: Twins
  18. According to Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN, Twins assistant GM Rob Antony gave the impression that the Twins did not attend Javier Vasquez's tryout in Puerto Rico on Friday. Antony also made it sound like making a big move for a starter, such as Shawn Marcum or Joe Saunders, wasn't going to happen. Barring an upgrade, the Twins will head into spring training with Vance Worley, Scott Diamond and Kevin Correia as the top three pitchers in their rotation. Related: Twins

  20. A great list by Nick and so true. Marcum would probably make the top 5 and is the Twins fans last hope! A pretty sad Twins outlook in deed.
  21. CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Brett Myers' new one-year deal with the Indians is worth $7 million. This presumably includes the buyout for the 2014 club option. It's a nice chunk of change for Myers, who posted a 3.31 ERA and 41/15 K/BB ratio over 65 1/3 innings of relief last season with the Astros and White Sox. The Indians plan to use him as a starter. 22. FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Indians "have had dialogue" with Shaun Marcum. Morosi says "it's not clear yet" whether Cleveland's signing of Brett Myers will affect a potential pursuit of Marcum. The Indians have room in their rotation for another addition, but it remains to be seen if they have enough cash to make it happen. Marcum has also drawn interest from the Royals, Twins and Padres.
  23. Gardy has at least some control, but where does it leave the Twins fans? TR has put the Twins fans out to dry with his promises. It's just to bad that clev, and KC can improve but we can't., if the present looks bad, what does that say about the future?
  24. According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the Indians have reached a one-year contract with Brett Myers. The deal includes a club option for 2014. Myers, 32, had a solid 3.31 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 41/15 K/BB ratio in 65 1/3 innings of relief last year between the Astros and White Sox. He'll return to starting duties with Cleveland and should carry value in mixed fantasy leagues.
  25. The Kansas City Star's Bob Dutton doesn't expect the Royals to sign free agent starter Shaun Marcum. The Royals have previously been linked to Marcum, but Dutton believes he'll ultimately be out of their price range. Marcum, who turned 31 years old earlier this month, has also drawn interest from the Twins and Padres. He's known to be seeking a two-year deal in free agency.
