  1. The pitching has been outstanding so far this year and I think there's reason to believe it will be really good all year. What it means is they can make a bad play and still survive and also they don't always need four runs.
  2. I'd say an underrated play was Jeffers infield single, which gave Larnach a swing in the inning resulting in two runs. A 4-2 lead doesn't feel nearly as secure as a four run 6-2 lead.
  3. Luis Arraez is missing time due to a knee injury. Not sure if the Twins factored his durability into the trade, but it has been an issue for Arraez in his career.
  4. I wonder what the home-road splits are for Rizzo and Judge.
  5. Not to diss Mr. Wallner, but have you seen him play against big league competition?
  6. Ryan: "Only six runs? You guys gotta pick it up"
  7. I'm afraid Hicks will do something good before this series is over.
  8. I'm glad they put Gallo at first.
  9. Kirilloff 2-5 with another homer in Rochester New York. I don't think Wallner is next up.
  10. Jeffers is running far better than last year. Don't know if it will last with the wear and tear of catching.
  11. Miranda is in a funk. Do remember he was hitting less than his weight for about 30 at bats last year.
  12. That was gone in 45 degree weather.
  13. Do you think Arraez is really 5’10” and Solano is 5’7”. I don’t believe either are true.
  14. It bugs me to see another short first baseman for the Twins.
  15. Yes, no Gold Glove at first base. IMHO, they probably should flip-flop Miranda and Solano.
  16. This has the look of a make-or-break inning.
  17. Donnie Barrels (not) flashing the leather.
  18. The hitters that inning looked like they had no chance to get a hit.
  19. There have been some great Yankee center fielders—DiMaggio, Mantle, Bernie Williams—and maybe the fans thought that Hicks would be another great player in that succession. Yes, the Twins gave him away for what turned out to be next to nothing, but Hicks signed a long-term contract and the has not produced.
  20. Waiting for Maggi to make his debut. He is replacing a guy on bereavement leave, so he doesn’t necessarily have much time in his stay.
  21. So hard to get ‘em over and get ‘em in in the swing hard and swing harder era.
  22. I don’t feel sorry for him, of course. But, OTOH, he has really become the villain in Gotham, when he is performing as well as he can.
  23. Oh man, losing a challenge in the second inning.
  24. Key at-bat here in the first. One run-not bad, but multiples, I’d worry.
  25. I think it's easy to be the new guy who is not being paid a ton to become the darling of the fans. When the expectations change and are not met, the fans can be pretty brutal in the Bronx.
