  1. Per mlbtraderumors.com, Aaron Sanchez can opt out of his minor league contract on Monday. Do the Twins care? He's been okay at St. Paul, but it seems to me that they have enough guys to fill the AAA rotation at this point. Of course, both Ober and Varland might be pitching for the parent team tomorrow and next week respectively.
  2. I believe Twins games have featured the most strikeouts of any team in MLB.
  3. Royals got 'em over, got 'em in.
  4. Can't imagine Miranda feels real comfortable with Perez at the plate.
  5. Bobby Witt Jr. was due. Let's see if Pablo can strand him.
  6. FWIW, my weather app says the rain in Minneapolis will end by 5 PM. Also, about 80 miles from Target Field, it was over 70 degrees and sunny this morning and early afternoon. It's pouring now and rain is forecast here for the next five hours.
  7. Duran will be taking care of an immigration issue tomorrow and likely unavailable to pitch anyway.
  8. In answer to the title of this thread, “yes”. Hat tip to @USAFChief
  9. Come August we'll be hoping that Paddack will be able to start games.
  10. Franmil Reyes is not a good outfielder.
  11. I think the Royals should send Melendez back to the minors to help him get his groove back. He's been underwhelming and from what I can see he's got the tools to be really good and a pretty good catcher.
  12. Pretty sure there's a medical issue. Velocity started in the upper 80s, got it up as high as 94, but not consistently.

  14. I think he was peeved by an earlier strike call.
  15. Rotation health was too good to last.
  16. Mahle out. I guess the Varland/Ober discussion might be moot.
  17. Correa and Buxton back-to-back. They were both due, especially CC.
  18. Big zone for both pitchers. I don't think the ump has missed a ball in the zone, but he's called a lot of them out of the zone.
  19. Evening up the lefty-righty splits.
  20. Yeah, I can live with almost no stolen bases, if they take the bases they can like that.
  21. Vazquez has been slumping. 3-26.
  22. Nice swing Joey. And he got that double out of the batter's box.
  23. Grienke is throwing harder than Mahle.
