  1. I was hoping to pick up an autographed Ricky Nolasco beard trimmer on the cheap, but alas that's not a part of his basket and the bid is already up to $350 anyway.
  2. I would like to have a word with you about the fuel injectors on that supposed creampuff driven by the little old man I bought last week. (The car, not the little old man.)
  3. I think you've uncovered an important flaw in Buxton's approach, that should be communicated to Bruno at once! Maybe if he moves up in the batter's box, he won't be so vulnerable to breaking pitches in the dirt.
  4. Maybe you've been dreaming your participation on TD this whole time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUAuhiRgMgU
  5. It's August. Nate Silver's site has Trump's Polls-Plus chance still at 24%. One interpretation is that once every four tries, a Black Swan event sweeps him in. Silver's statistical chops should not be dismissed, IMO. Bets this far out should always be hedged.
  6. Does Plouffe have any minor league options remaining? Maybe he's the one that should be sent down until September.
  7. Maybe it will help us old-timers to change it to HHH: Hurricane Hazle Hazard.
  8. I'm thinking then that "slam dunk to play SS in the majors" might not be the sole criterion...
  9. Austin was an oasis in the Texas desert when I visited there 40 years ago, too. I think you need to spend a week in Waxahachie or Lubbock or Amarillo before determining a trend. That said, I do recognize the demographic shift is slowly in the Democrats' direction, assuming the parties keep their current ideologies for long enough.
  10. So was the Parnelli reference.
  11. If my understanding of site software is correct, if you are posting, then you are a member. (Consult the TD Comment Policy for examples of why the reverse might not be true at times. )
  12. At 18, that ranking would involve a fair amount of projection, would it not? And I don't recall, what similar rankings did BA offer in 2012, 2013, ... ?
  13. Moderator's gentle suggestion: please do so even if you feel otherwise.
  14. The pitching staff did their job and held Cleveland to single digits. The offense just choked.
  15. Slow down, Parnelli Jones. There's 3 months to go, and after her polls go up a little more this may represent the high water mark.
  16. Consider it Found Poetry.
  17. A couple of other contracts also come off the books. We don't know who the next general manager will be. This 9M is additional flexibility, and need not be used by itself on a similar player, but can for example be combined. It also could make a trade for a more expensive player palatable.
  18. But I can't stop... watching those last... twoooooo... GIFs.
  19. Mauer just misses scooping one out of the dirt for an out: http://s1.totalprosports.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/little-leager-not-paying-attention-baseball-fail-gifs.gif
  20. Loooosah. Oh well. Get 'em next time.
  21. You are into videos of EMTs deploying stretchers?
  22. I very much doubt she was ever talked into trying it again.
