After a string of five quite good games, Felix might have been due for a bad one, and that's what the host Tennessee Smokies gave him on Saturday, June 17, in front of a record-sized crowd in attendance for Jimmy Buffett night. In six innings he gave up five runs, on nine hits (two of which went out) and one walk. He struck out four. Most of the damage was done in the four-run second inning, during which the home runs were hit consecutively after a walk, and then a couple more singles sandwiching a balk brought another tally home. The additional run came in the fourth inning courtesy of a double and a single. The Lookouts batters picked him up, and he actually got credit for the 7-5 win. Probably the home crowd was lost in Margaritaville while enjoying their cheeseburgers in the paradise that is the Knoxville suburb of Kodak, and didn't take the loss all that hard. His ERA is back up to 3.35.
