  2. Yeah, a lot of Brockmire-isms aren't gonna pass muster here.
  3. Nope. Cuz ... it was tattooooooooed. http://teamcoco.com/video/hank-azaria-s-favorite-brockmire-lines
  4. Brockmire fans: you know why that last home run can't be buried in a Jewish cemetery, right?
  5. There's a virus going around. The home runs are contagious.
  6. Too bad Dozier can't hit with RISP.
  7. Where would you find suspension cables strong enough to accomplish that feat?
  8. The need to flip a coin while in the bathroom would seem problematic per se.
  9. That's kind of a lot of qualifiers for such a short sentence.
  10. Don't flip coins in the bathroom. Lesson learned.
  11. Just wait until Aaron Slegers becomes part of Twins lore. Based on current experience, few will get his name right!
  12. He might try, and even log a few innings, but count me among the sorrowful ones who will be surprised if he is effective for even a significant portion of the season.
  13. I flipped a coin. Got it for face value when I bought lunch at McDonalds, sold it for the same when I included it in my settlement on a latte purchase. Didn't make any money off it, but on the bright side I invested nothing fixing it up. And I enjoyed my burger, and the coffee later on. Sometimes you break even and are glad of it. Oh, and Go Twins. Beat those odds. Shock the world.
  14. Approves: Meanwhile I, for one, welcome our new robot overlords.
  15. Jason Castro's the unsung hero here. At the plate, he didn't call time to adjust his batting glove or whatever it is that batters feel the need to do all the time. Without Castro's steely nerves this fancy play never develops.
  16. Ben laced a couple of doubles, and scored a run each time, in the Kernels' 7-2 loss to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. This brought his season BA back up to .218. Let's see a continuation of this kind of performance, Ben!
  17. Which gets at one of the reasons I don't get too wound up about RISP numbers.
  18. In most endeavors .342 is a poor average. Only in baseball and bar pickup lines is it remarkably good.
