I guess you wanna spread the wealth, but I was pretty surprised to see my Adopt-A-Prospect guy, Aaron Slegers, not get the nod for Twins Daily Minor League Pitcher of the Day, it going instead to a reliever with a couple innings of work. I know it's exciting to come in and pitch out of a jam, but there's something to be said for not even pitching into one in the first place. Slegers had a grand total of 1 LOB if I counted correctly. Ho hum, six shutout innings.

> Rochester Red Wings OF James Ramsey to Elizabethton I assume this is some kind of injury situation, but even so, why Elizabethton? They don't start games there for a while yet. Is this just another way of saying "extended spring training in Ft Myers", and why that, in preference to the DL? He was an off-season signing, age 28 this season, so Rookie ball clearly isn't his actual destination.

If it became a permanent difference between the majors and minors, it could harm the perception by local fans that the games are being played competitively. That's already a problem IMO, with obvious strategic moves (lefty-vs-righty pinch hitters for example) not being employed in critical situations, and pitching moves or non-moves made with apparent orders from higher up to allow a certain number of pitches to a starter no matter what. Gimmicky extra-innings rules won't by themselves cause fans to tune out and not show up at the ball park, unless they happened to be the tipping point on top of everything else.
