  1. Miracle Max: "Well, it just so happens that your team here only mostly lost. There's a big difference between mostly lost and all lost. Now, mostly lost is almost won. But, all lost...well, with all lost, there's usually only one thing you can do. Go through the roster and look again for expiring contracts."
  2. Which part? The firings, the savings, the spending?
  3. Living in this universe. (Am I playing the game correctly?)
  4. Talent evaluation being one of the team's weaknesses, I hope this proves to be merely an overdue house cleaning.
  5. Great Value Filet Mignon. "Just like the original, only a tiny bit worse."™
  6. The Cody Klemens Bar is an interesting metric, but not an especially useful one. The bar we should be setting is the Byron Buxton Bar. Right now the Brewers have 10 batters who have 100+ PA in the second half. Of those, 6 have an OPS above Buxton's .808 second half. It's necessary but not sufficient to discard the sub-replacement level players. Don't just put mediocrities in their place. We need difference makers. IMO we're a long, long way from that in September 2025. But show us differently, Front Office; sorry if that's too much pressure, seeing as you've had only 9 years to prepare for this off-season.
  7. The Yankees are just punking us. "This roster of yours, it's looking pretty good. See us not score any runs tonight? You should totally roll with this same roster in 2026."
  8. "Who are you, you imposter? And what have you done with Simeon Woods Richardson?"
  9. I have a Moto G Stylus and I don't see that behavior today. Is it a recent problem?
  10. Can we sign Anthony DeSclafani? To be the designated middle-innings guy for our opponents?
  11. This guy. It's the hardest part of being a manager.
  12. Anthony DeSclafani. Now, where have I heard that name before?
  13. Are we really misspelling the first names of Twins players in the headlines for Twins Daily Front Page News stories now?
  14. He throws it as fast as ever. It just doesn't seem to arrive anywhere as soon.
  15. It was fun for a while, dreaming that our new FO had this special sauce that let them find useful major leaguers-to-be after other teams had passed on them in the draft for a dozen or so rounds.
  16. Assistant Director, Amateur Scouting: Tim O'Neil Executive Vice President, General Manager: Jeremy Zoll O'Neil before Zoll.
  17. The names listed this go-round don't move the needle very much from the prior two years. If the Twins still went to even a little effort to make it fun, I'd be the AFL's biggest evangelist. Here's a moderately fun shot from 2022, the last AFL I can say I really enjoyed on the baseball merits. Here they are, pretending they can play middle-infield defense, just like big-leaguers. Adorable. Would you like to see a photo of Edouard Julien getting hit by a pitched ball? Because, here is a photo of Edouard Julien getting hit by a pitched ball. The opportunity for close proximity with Twins prospects, and maybe getting a good photo if you have even a decent little camera like I did, is unmatched by anything except the back fields in Fort Myers in March. As you can infer from the backgrounds, you pretty much have the whole ballpark to yourself and the scouts with their radar guns; you can chat them up a bit if you're mindful. Geez, now I'm almost talking myself into another drive down Interstate 11.
  18. You'll get rid of Falvey but keep Zoll? Would your opinion change if I told you that Zoll is a 2012 graduate from Haverford College, Thad Levine's alma mater? The networking goes pretty deep with this FO, and if you fire one, you probably need to fire all. Cool aid? 2 executives 1 cup. 😀
  19. I treasure the snapshot my son Bashbury was able to take of Byron Buxton in the AFL back in 2014. I might be able to dredge up a shot of some guys named Kepler and Rosario that year too. It's seriously doubtful I'll have the same feelings in 2036 about a photo I might take of Billy Amick if I were to make the pilgrimage this year. LOL, I just looked up the roster. Future and ex but not really Twin Anthony DeSclafani pitched for that Salt River squad too. LOL^2, he might be pitching against the Twins this week.
