  1. Margot (.660 OPS vs LHP) over Kepler (1.056 OPS vs LHP)? and batting 5th?
  2. The Giants converted Jordan Hicks from a hard-throwing reliever into a starter and he has been great so far (currently ranks 26th in MLB in average Game Score). Johan Duran used to be a starter. Why not make him a starter again? The Twins have the second best bullpen in MLB so far this year without Duran. With Varland out for now and maybe done forever as a major league starter, seems like Duran would be a great option, and potentially become an ace. I understand it would take a while to stretch him out. I am just a fan, not a pitching expert, so looking for thoughts from others who understand pitching more than me.
  3. Why did Buck exit after one AB?
  4. Gleeman and Geek, As a huge board game lover and game designer myself, I enjoyed the insight on the Twins locker room board games. The game designer of Catan and his sons pronounce it Ka-tahn, despite the fact that the narrator in this video pronounces it Ka-tan. Listen at 1:28.
  5. I listen (on MLB app) to more games than I watch. I switch to the other team's broadcast for innings 4 to 6 when Gladden is doing play by play because I like to know what is actually happening in the game. I cannot understand how the Twins administrators allow this to go on. It is like The Emperor's New Clothes story.
  6. Yes, Ober 2023 OPS against: PA OPS 1st PA 233 .749 2nd PA 231 .704 3rd PA 110 .486 If he is on, teams don't figure him out.
  7. It is weird that the 2023 Twins are 5th in MLB in night game OPS (.775) and 20th in MLB in day game OPS (.709). I wonder if there is anything to that?
  8. Odds of facing each opponent in the first round (if the outcome of each game were 50/50): Indians 44% White Sox 19% Yankees 19% Astros 12% Blue Jays 6%
  9. OPS against during Sept 2020 (all Twins relievers with min 20 PA) .442 Wisler (34 PA) .490 Stashak (23 PA) .519 Thielbar (29 PA) .533 Clippard (33 PA) .533 Duffey (33 PA) .565 Romo (33 PA) .669 May (31 PA) .693 Alcala (28 PA) .806 Rogers (29 PA)
  10. Eddie Rosario will hit the first bomba. Long time reader and lurker here. First post ever.
